RavishingRickRudo 0 Report post Posted October 16, 2003 Well that's good for Brits - I hear you don't get UFC or Pride on PPV... is that true? There is a small movement in the Underground Forums to see if we can get UFC/Pride in a theatre, and share the expense. Doubt it would happen, but it would be fun if it did. RavishingRickRudo 0 Report post Posted October 16, 2003 UFC in the UK To the fans in the UK, I know this news may not seem like much, but please believe me when I tell you it is. This is the first step in getting the UFC back on television in the UK. Sometimes it may seem like we are not working on the UK or we don't care about it. Believe me; I have been fighting every day since UFC 38 to get the UFC back in the UK. We have faced many obstacles along the way and things have been happening very slowly. The Odeon Manchester Cinema will have a one-time showing of UFC 43: Meltdown on October 29 at 7:45 PM. Odeon has stepped up and really helped push the UFC in the UK. Please help fight the cause and support this event. I know it doesn't sound all that great, but trust me it is. If this showing is successful, it will lead to bigger and better things for the UFC in the UK. So please, come to the Odeon Manchester on October 29 and support the sport in the UK. Show these people your passion for the sport of mixed martial arts and show them that it has a future in the UK. Thank you all for your continued support. Your efforts do not go unnoticed and we appreciate everything you all have done to keep this sport alive. Sincerely, - Dana White, UFC President (via the Sherdog board)
