Bored 0 Report post Posted October 20, 2003 You got the review for the 6 man tag match there, Bored? To the previous post sorry can't find a recap to the '98 show. I do have a recap this show though by E.C. Ostemeyer: Booker T & Sting & Goldberg d. Jeff Jarrett & Kronik, (Sting w/ Scorpion Death Drop on Jarrett/pin, 6:58) Tenay: "There's nobody that has the mindset of Goldberg. He's set for WAR here on Thunder!" Jarrett's in the ring for the heels first, and tries to jump Booker T when the Champ's back is turned. Booker turns just in time, and gives Jarrett a look. Goldberg, watching Jarrett's posturing in the ring, grins nastily. Kronik are at ringside, glowering. Tony: "Booker T, Sting, and Goldberg! The Dream Team!" (Surgeon General's Warning! The content of Mr. Schiavone's dialog has been found to contain unacceptably high levels of saccharin. Listen at your own risk.) "Halloween Havoc 4 Days Away!" chyron again, but it disappears before I can zonk it with my shoe. Booker T and Jeff Jarrett get started, as the crowd's chanting (?) "Gold-berg! Gold-berg!" Good headlock to front chancery hook-up and back for the Champ. Cross-ring run by Booker T, who blocks a hip-toss, then nails one of his own on Jeff Jarrett. Axe-kick drops Jarrett again. Booker wristlocks Jarrett, then tags in Goldberg. Jarrett, seeing Awful Danger about to descend upon him, struggles out of the wrist-lock, runs back to his corner. Once there, he taunts Goldberg with a "Come get some!" Bryan Adams wants the tag, and Jarrett gladly gives it to him. Adams and Goldberg stalk each other around the ring. Headlock by Adams, Goldberg with a shove off the ring ropes, Adams rebounds with a shoulder block that Goldberg no-sells big time. A nose-to-nose shouting match ensues, with the look on Adams face telling me that Goldberg had extra onions on his Big Mac. Whoops, Adams must have said "Phew!" or something, because Goldberg just snap- clotheslined him. Double underhook suplex by Goldberg, and Adams is in La-la Land. Goldberg spits, looks at the heels' corner, and grins evilly. Tony: "No one has EVER thrown Bryan Adams around like that!" (Uh, how 'bout Paul Wight? Kevin Nash? Stevie-freakin' RAY?) Goldberg tags in Sting. Adams tags Brian Clark. Sting backs around Clark, then wallops first Jarrett and then Adams, tumbling them both to the ring apron. Sting continues to work on Jarrett, as Clark is measuring Sting for some outrage. Clark charges in, but Sting sees him coming, and Clark's running knee-lift hits the top turnbuckle hard! Clark limps out of the corner, and Sting goes to work on the injured knee. Sting locks on the Scorpion Death Lock, but Adams reaches in and pulls Clark to the ropes, which breaks the hold. Sting tags Booker T, who starts chopping the big man down to size. Booker with a cross-ring whip. Clark ducks the clothesline, but no the follow-up bolo punch to the forehead. Clark goes down like a pole-axed steer. Cover by Booker T, 1,2, Clark kicks out. Clark hits a power surge, and cross-ring whips Booker, who, rebounding, gets hit in the back of the head by Bryan Adams. As Booker staggers forward, Clark drops him with a DDT. Clark tags Adams, and both men double-team a kick-fest with Booker's gut as Ground Zero. Adams with a sloppy piledriver, and a cover, but Booker gets a shoulder up. Adams and Goldberg jaw at each other over the prostrate body of Booker T. Adams tags in Jeff Jarrett, who punches Booker T right in the short ribs. Jarrett tosses Booker T into the far corner then climbs up for a "Ten -Count Punch-Down" although very few in the crowd are counting the blows. Cross-corner whip by Jarrett, but Booker's float-over lands athwart Jarrett's shoulders, and Booker does a SWEET Sunset Flip out of the corner, 1,2, Jarrett kicks out! Jarrett throws a wild punch, and Booker counters with a hangman's neckbreaker. It's a race to see who tags out first. Booker wins by tagging in BOTH Sting & Goldberg, and the Pier Six brawl is on again, pairing Sting w/ Jarrett, Goldberg w/Clark, Booker w/ Adams. Goldberg powerslams Clark, then sets up for the spear. As Clark turns in the corner, Goldberg charges in... ...Clark ducks to one side... ...and Goldberg spears himself headfirst into the STEEL ring post! There is an audible "Thock!" Goldberg slumps across the middle turnbuckle. Adams and Clark just stand there for a moment, watching. Then Adams moves, and drags Goldberg off the turnbuckle. Goldberg appears OUT COLD! Clark is checking on Goldberg, and then they both lay Goldberg carefully on the canvas. Adams goes for a gentle cover, Clark stops Booler T from making the save...1, 2... And Goldberg pushes him off! Goldberg rolls away, but he's still hurt. Adams and Clark tower over the prostrate Goldberg. Adams shrugs his shoulders, then signals Clark for their "High Times" finisher on Goldberg. They get him up... ...as we see Jarrett bouncing Booker T's head off the announcers table... ...then a quick cut back to the ring, just in time to see the end of the "High Times" finisher. Sting rolls back into the ring, golottas Clark, then starts in toe-to-toe with Adams. Goldberg rolls from the ring, and Scott Steiner runs out to get a piece of Booker T. This comes to naught, as Booker T bounces Steiner's head off the steel guardrail. Sting, meanwhile, has gotten the better of Bryan Adams, walloping him with a towering Stinger Splash. Jarrett, in "El-Kabong" mode, takes a swing...and a miss. Sting nails Jarrett with the Scorpion Death Drop, and a cover,1, 2, 3 thus ending the match. Post-match, we've got Kronik walloping on Goldberg at ringside, while Scott Steiner enters the ring and nails Sting with a lead pipe. Jarrett takes advantage, and locks Sting into a Figure Four leglock. Booker T gets the lead pipe treatment three times, followed by the "Steiner Recliner." Tony hollers: "Kronik has Goldberg OUT!" Stevie Ray: "Somebody get some help out here!" Steiner releases the "Recliner' and glowers down at Booker T.
