I met Ricky Steamboat, my favorite wrestler, last night at a VCW show.(VCW stands for Virginia Championship Wrestling and is a very small promotion) He was signing autographs, so my friend and I got in line with 15 other people to get his autograph.(There were about a 100 people at the show. It cost $5 for an autograph, but it was worth it. Thats because I got to shake his hand, take a picture with him, and talked to him for a bit. My name is Jay, so he asked if I have heard about Jay Youngblood.(His former tag team partner) We then talked about his tag team cage match in Greensboro for a bit. He even asked if I knew him since I "looked familar." :headbang: He was very nice to everyone, and spent time to talk to all the fans. He would sign anything that was handed to him, including Legends of Wrestling 2 which features a big picture of Hulk Hogan on the cover.(If I was Steamboat, I would've been a little ticked off signing something that had a big picture of someone who didn't like him) He also got in the ring during the event, and talked about how his first 12 years in pro wrestling was at events like the one I was at. He said he didn't like the WWE, too. If any of you have the oppurtunity to meet Ricky Steamboat, I suggest you do. He's the greatest wrestler of all time, and a pretty good person too. :)

The show was great too, and I had front row seats! :headbang: The wrestling was better than a thought it would be, and it was very entertaining. Chris Escobar is great. I reccomend VCW to any of you Virginians who want to watch some independent wrestling.

That's amazing, man. He is indeed on of the all time greats! I'd love to meet one of my childhood idols one day. I agree with him on the WWE, I haven't watched it in years. Still love the good ol' days, though, the glory days. :(
