WWF IC Champion Marc Mero (w/ Sable) pinned Goldust (w/ Marlena) (sub. for Farooq) with a Samoan Drop and Shooting Star Press as Mr. Perfect and Hunter Hearst Helmsley were held apart by officials on the floor

Psycho Sid pinned Vader (w/ Jim Cornette) with the chokeslam after ducking a clothesline; due to prematch stipulations, Sid earned a world title shot against Shawn Michaels for the following month at Survivor Series; after the match, HBK - who did guest commentary for the contest - and Sid had words and shook hands

The Undertaker defeated Mankind (w/ Paul Bearer) in a Buried Alive match; after the match, the Executioner made his debut by attacking the Undertaker from behind with a shovel - with Hunter Hearst Helmsley, Justin Bradshaw, Goldust, Crush, Mankind, and the Executioner burying the Undertaker; as the show was about to go off the air, a lightning bolt shot down from the ceiling before the Undertaker's hand was seen coming out of the dirt

Raw is War - featured the return of Jeff Jarrett:

Rocky Miavia & Kama (w/ the Nation) defeated Ken Shamrock & Ahmed Johnson (w/ the Legion of Doom) at around the 6-minute mark when Rocky pinned Shamrock after Farooq hit him with Rick Rude's briefcase; after the contest, the Godwinns attacked the Legion of Doom from behind with garbage cans

WWF World Champion Bret Hart (w/ Jim Neidhart, Owen Hart, & Davey Boy Smith) pinned Farooq (w/ the Nation) in a non-title impromptu match at 8:14 after Steve Austin interfered and hit the Stunner on Farooq before leaving through the crowd; the contest came about as a result of the Harts being blamed for trashing the Nation's dressing room moments earlier

Marc Mero (w/ Sable) pinned Brian Christopher at 4:11 with the TKO, despite interference from Jerry Lawler

WWF European Champion Shawn Michaels fought WWF IC Champion Owen Hart to a no contest in a title vs. title match at around 9:35 when Steve Austin interfered and hit the Stunner on the referee before Bret Hart attacked Michaels, prompting both DX and the Hart Foundation to come to the ring

Dude Love fought Davey Boy Smith to a no contest when Kane and Paul Bearer came out before Smith's intro, with Kane no-selling a chairshot from Dude Love before hitting two chokeslams on the steel rampway

Billy Gunn & the Road Dogg defeated the Headbangers at 4:04 when Road Dogg pinned Thrasher after Gunn smashed a boom box over his opponent's head

Taka Michinoku pinned Tajiri at 2:55 with the Michinoku Driver; Sunny was the guest ring announcer for the contest

Henry & Phinneas Godwinn fought Skull & 8-Ball to a no contest when the Truth Commission interfered

The single greatest RAW of 1997. I rank it right up there with Bret reuniting with Owen & Bulldog.

Hart Foundation members, British Bulldog & The Anvil defeated The Patriot & Goldust.

 

 

 

Anvil nailed Patriot the British flag, which allowed Bulldog to pin him.

I remember that with my photographic memory.

 

 

 

 

I remember Oct. 20, 1997 being night where the Foundation was on a roll for the weeks leading up to Survivor Series '97.

 

 

 

I just have a near perfect memory, that's all.

Where did you find that info?

I may still have that on tape

 

I marked out when that was the annonced main Event, since I was used to Scorpio vs Jesus Main Events...
