Guest Salacious Crumb Report post Posted October 22, 2003 If Chono did break his neck again over the weekend do you think that's it for him as far as inring action goes? I think he is if it's indeed what happened. He'd be a fool to climb back in the ring after this.
Guest Boo_Bradley Report post Posted October 22, 2003 Chono broke his neck? When where how?
Guest Salacious Crumb Report post Posted October 22, 2003 SOURCE: http://www.puroresufan.com The true turning point was a release German suplex though, which caused Chono to land heavily on his previously broken neck. Chono couldn't move, and may have re-injured his neck again. Yoshie applied a crab hold, putting pressure on both of Chono's injuries (leg and neck), Chono tapping out instantly! Chono's condition is of notable concern now, and this is like in the 2001 G1 Tag League, where he also injured his neck. There are some fears of a broken neck, I'll try and get confirmation later. Fökai 0 Report post Posted October 22, 2003 IWGP Tag Team Champions, Yoshie & Tanahashi, suffered their first defeat of the G1 Tag League today at the hands of Tenzan & Nishimura. After two 30 minute matches on successive shows, they were beaten in 18 1/2 minutes today, Nishimura cradling Yoshie. Yoshie used what is being called the "air bag-style" German suplex on Nishimura, the one that injured Chono, and is now getting special mention. Nishimura compared the shock of impact from the move to that of a car crash. Ouch.

Would make a good "THAT'S IT~!" finisher. Probably end up being called "Yoshie Suplex" or something. Sorry to hear about Chono though. Injuries of that kinda suck. Guest ligerbomb03 Report post Posted October 31, 2003 Chono should probably call it a career and retire before he is injured again or paralyzed even.
