Forgotten storylines

I still haven't seen Edge's shampoo commercial.

The "prior relationship" between Gangrel and Edge.

Edge being engaged to Val Venis' sister.

(Why is Edge involved in so many dropped storylines?)

Did Big Show ever get his Dad's casket back? What did Bossman do with it?

Edge being engaged to Val Venis' sister.

I believe Val married Edge's sister a few years ago.  That's how I remember it, anyway.

You haven't seen Edge's shampoo commerical because you're not Japanese.  Probably.

On a related note, I was watching the horrible miscarriage of justice that is the "WWF's Funniest Moments" DVD yesterday, and I saw something that troubled me on many different levels.  There was a scene in which it was implied that Mideon had had sex with a Thanksgiving turkey.  What the fuck?  Did this actually air on television at some point?  You'd think one would remember something like that.

The Val/Edge angle was dropped after the WWF didn't like something. I think it had something to do with Edge or Val.

gotta love the DVD extras of the cutting room floor deleted scenes section

There are so many broken storylines in the WWF, it isnt funny:

Rikishi gangster friends asking him to come back home

Y2J vs Shamrock

Why did the Headbangers wear womens underwear Madonna style

Lo Down who knew that Mosh & D-Lo were from India

Every Barry Windham gimmick

the Brand Expansion

the Alliance

The Truth Commision - South African militants in the WWF and where did the general go

Bob Backland for president

NWA lead by Jim Cornette

Edge being engaged to Val Venis' sister.

When was this? The only thing I can remember vaguely similar was Val hitting on Ken Shamrock's Fake Sister.

Conspiracy!!!

I tried to start this thread last week but it got buried. It's all about the post counts on this board I can tell. Never mind the fact that I posted at like 4 am, it was post counts I tell you!

For my part....what happened to Nadia the female tough enough winner? Weren't Raven and terri supposed to be a team? What happened to Raven's black ninja? ( I remember they exposed her, but then they just dropped it.) Oh and most important of all...who has Lucy?

Edge marrying Val Venis's sister wasn't a storyline. It really happened and they just mentioned it on TV.

al snow for commish?

al snow and william regal had a match for the commish position.  I remember the midgets that Al had cost him the match, after that he did tough enough

The nWo was supposed to be a poison to kill the WWF, but then Vince was going to draft them to his side and got pissed when Flair drafted them first. The board of directors gave Vince full control again of the WWF just because Flair was in a feud with Undertaker, when Vince stated that he wanted to kill his own company, has had several feuds with wrestlers, runs in on matches all the time, had nWo try to kill Rock, cheated on his wife on tv, was the higher power and had his daughter kidnapped, and various other things.

Edge *really* did marry Val's sister. That wasn't a storyline; it was just JR blabing random facts.

I could swear it was Val marrying Edge's sister.  If it's at all possible to Google something as insignificant as that, someone more studious take care of it and report the results here.

This was probably answered, but who was the mole during the Invasion?  I remember then punking out Test because they thought he was the mole, but then it kinda fizzled, I think.

I can answer a few of these!

Sting drove the white hummer, if i recall.

Beaver Cleavage was Craz, and on live tv (during a match) he said "FUCK THIS SHIT" grabbed his girlfriend (who was portraying his mother) and left. He was forced to appologize.

GTV was russo's idea that was thrown out when he was, hard to complete a story when the writer who wrote it isnt

 stupid WWF

Just remembering, i think it was Eric Bischoff or Billy Kidman that drove the hummer. I think they revealed it during the new Nitro era, but it didn't make any sense

Beaver Cleavage--Chaz, in the middle of an interview, said something about how stupid this all was, and ran off. He camme back the next week as Chaz.

Shawn Stasiak as Mr. Perfect's Apprentice-- He took up the "Mecca of Manhood" gimmick.

Chaz (Mosh) hitting his girlfriend-- I remember this. It may have happened on Heat. Thrasher returned (as himself, Glenn Somethingorother), and used a GTV clip that showed Chaz's girlfriend talking about how she's faking, and applying makeup to look like she was beat. I think they were going to have GTV stand for Glenn, but no one in the crowd cared, so that blew that.

Droz's White suited friend-- That was Vick Grimes. He was sent to ECW, where he is remembered for that stupid stupid fall.

GTV- It was going to be "Goldust TV" (that's why it was GDTV the first time), but then Goldust left the fed. It was rumored to be anything from Girl TV (for PMS), Game TV (Triple H) to Glenn TV. It just sorta died.

If I remember right, they were trying to work it into the storyline. Val cut a big promo before his match with Edge, but it sucked so they just dropped it.

the hummer driver was never explained. it was a fake sting once though.

i always thought it would have been wicked if shane had droven around in a hummer instead of a limo during the invasion. i know i would've laughed my ass off.

Eddy Guerrero and Miss Kitty had a relationship, but it was gone before you knew it.

I remember Val Venis beating Edge in a match (when they were both faces), and Edge said afterwards, "You may have been the best man tonight, but you're not going to be the best man when I marry your sister. I picked Christian." Val acted slightly jealous/angry, and JR did the "what the hell?" thing, but nothing ever came of it.

Val also was supposed to have been seduced by The Kat when he was in RTC, but she got fired the next day.

If Heyman was the mole, wouldn't JR have noticed, seeing as he sits next to him all the time. In fact, I remember JR accusing Heyman one time, and Heyman said the same thing.

I listening to an interview with Vince Russo after he left the WWF, and he said British Bulldog was the person who pushed Mankind with the pole.

This goes under this topic in a round about way, but didn't Linda support Shane at the start of the alliance?

Ok, to answer some questions:

In April of 2000, Bischoff hit Hogan with a white hummer. I guess that makes us assume Bischoff was the guy who did it the whole time...or yeah. Around Bash of the Beach 99, they had a fake Sting in the hummer during a Nash/Sid match or something...I try to forget.

Second, I fucking remember that Bulldog/Mankind deal with the pole, but I don't, lol. Can someone give a description of when this happened and stuff? I remember seeing super imposed shots of the person who pushed Mankind with the pole and stuff.

Third, I don't think Linda supported anyone. She just didn't want Vince to be a chicken and not take the challenge of the WCW. (I sound like Bret)

Questions: Does anyone remember in April of 1997 in WCW when The Dungeon of Doom/Horseman/Eddie Guerrero was in this big clusterfuck angle which resulted in a Benoit/Malenko match that ended with everyone running down. After the choas,  Malenko looked at Benoit and said "He wasn't suppose to be here, was he?" And Benoit nodded. It was just dropped. Anyone remember?

Jericho/Giant in WCW before both guys left. What was the deal with that "friendship"?

With regards to JR saying "what the hell" when Edge said Christian would be the best men JR said thats understandable. Val was happy with that and shook both Edge and Christians hand and walked off with his IC title(i think).

Yeah, but it was funny watching Edge try to be all serious about it:

"You're NOT the best man."

He sounded like he was telling Val he was the weakest link.

At Survivor Series, Angle was revealed as the mole in the Invasion.  In fact Angle tried to use that fact to talk Vince to give him a world title shot.  The whole PTC was dropped rather suddenly.  The whole Big Show / Bossman thing disappeared rather suddenly after the Bossman stole Big Show's dad's casket.  And it would take too long to mention how many storylines were abandoned during 1998-1999.
