Guest TheGame2705 Posted October 23, 2003 Report Posted October 23, 2003 So yeah the guy's cute but can he wrestle? Is he a spot monkey? Give me some info.
Guest Jay Z. Hollywood Posted October 23, 2003 Report Posted October 23, 2003 Game, Adam Jacobs retired over a year ago, shortly after Wildside Freedom Fight 2k2. (As the champion, regrettably).
Phoenix Fury Legdrop Posted October 23, 2003 Report Posted October 23, 2003 Adam's a heck of a worker. He was getting really f-cking good right at the end of his run. I just watched his "Loser Leaves Wildside" match with John Phoenix (another guy I really miss from the Wildside Alumni ranks) from last year's Wildside Anniversary show, and Adam was really great as sympathetic face in that match (which is one of the most unheralded Wildside matches of all-time that deserves to be talked about). Most of his run in Wildside, however, was as a heel. But, he was about as great of a snarmy heel as you get (unless your name's Chris Hamrick). Jay, he didn't actually retire with the belt. He lost it in one of the only Wildside storylines that's confused me ever. He "no-showed" a Wildside taping in August 2002 (entitled Heatstroke, which featured a ton of Northeastern talent and can be bought as its own show complete from Melanie McKee), and John Phoenix (his scheduled challenger for the night) came out with the belt. David Young then came out and defeated John and, though John wasn't technically champion, David won the belt. Adam's last match in Wildside was the "Loser Leaves Wildside" match at Wildside 4.0. He teased a comeback in January 2003, when he and John Phoenix came back to help Jason Cross run off the NWA Elite(Phoenix left Wildside a month earlier after losing at Christmas Chaos in a "Bailey's CEOship vs. Rick Michaels's Career and Jason Cross's TNA Contract" match to Cross, and was dumped by the NWA Elite for doing so), but they taped an angle later in the night where Bailey taped Iceberg and Rainman slamming Adam's leg in his car door. Hope that helps.
