Sandman9000 0 Report post Posted October 24, 2003 BEST SHOWS: Ted Petty Invational 2002 King of the Deathmatch 2003 (Not just for DM fans, Chris Hero vs. Homicide is must see) Ultra Styles Clash Weekend When Hero Met Punk (a one-match show, but that one match is Chris Hero vs. CM Punk, 2/3 Falls which goes 93:13) We Are Family, as proceeds from the tape goes to Deliah Starr's ill son. I'll pimp this forever- We Are Family is an excellent deal- 6 hours, 25 matches, two tapes for only 20 dollars. Some damn good stuff on there (Alex Shelley vs. Chris Hero, Shelley/Hero vs. Danny Daniels/Jimmy Jacobs, Jacobs vs. Nigel McGuinness-there's a ton of other stuff I'm forgetting). And proceeds go to a good cause, always a big plus. Ultra Styles Clash Weekend is pretty damn good. Big highlight of that one is a killer AJ Styles vs. Ace Steel main event. Thomas has a review of it somewhere on the site. When Hero Met Punk has an unbelievable 93 minute 2/3 falls main event. Based on what you said your tastes are, I think you'll enjoy it-be warned the rest of the tape is pretty crappy though. Quote the Raven is great for newbies- Chris Hero vs. Raven is the ME, plus Sabin, Cabana, Rave and some other ROH regulars are on there. IWA-MS has an entire "strong style" tournament called "The Revolution" -features Chris Hero, CM Punk, BJ Whitmer, Ian Rotten, Stan Dupp, and others whose names escape me, along with a strong title match in Matt Stryker vs. Danny Daniels vs. Mark Wolf. Simply the Best 4 is highly underrated- CM Punk vs. Jonny Storm, Jerry Lynn vs. Dino Bambino, Danny Daniels vs. Ace Steel are all quality, and there's a great guilty pleasure match in Tracey Smothers vs. Shark Boy One last recommendation- Derby Madness. Jimmy Jacobs vs. CM Punk, JC Bailey vs. Nate Webb 2/3 falls, Chris Hero vs. Stan Dupp (super-stiff match) and BJ Whitmer vs. Nigel McGuinness. Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
