What does ovcoarse mean? Are you speaking French again? Not it's not creative. It's called over thinking. We don't need feuds to be over thought. If you want to write that shit then get a job as a TV writer.

WWE has plenty of "generic" feuds going on right now. I'm not talking about generic feuds. I'm talking about feuds in which they take a relatable theme and then add in the originality of the characters involved and their actions. It's the wrestlers and their characteristics that flesh out the feud. Feuds don't have to be over shampoo commercials. Give the fans something they can understand and relate to and then wow them with what the wrestlers do with that idea.

Well obviously most of the fanbase is stuck in the 80's because as of right now none of this new "edgey" stuff is drawing.

LaParkaYourCar 0 Report post Posted October 26, 2003 Face it. Controversy just doesn't get the job done anymore because no one believes that WWE can pull it off. The fans have been burned by lame "controversial" storylines too many times now.

Downhome 0 Report post Posted October 26, 2003 It isn't about being "stuck in the 80's" damnit, that's not the deal. It's about us, as Pro. Wrestling fans, wanting true MEANING behind what we see on TV and something that we can relate to. We don't want bullshit soap opra over drawn out pies of monkey dung, that just isn't what we want. Not just the internet fans, but the CASUAL fans. I may be weird, but every single casual fan that I know are tired of the current crazy ass soap opra type of product. It's TIME to get back down to the basics, because quite frankly, that's what works time and time again. As said before, I can list feud after feud, both old school and present day (past decade or so) which were succesfull, because of how basic the ideas around the feud was. Even the entire concept of the nWo was basic, it's what works.
Guest Boo_Bradley Report post Posted October 26, 2003 I'm the LAST guy you'd want to ask about career advice. If I knew how to go about getting a job with a magazine, I'd have tried by now myself. I've toyed with the idea of applying to the PWI family from time to time, but I can't imagine that it pays well enough to move to New York or whatever it would require. I made enquiries back when WOW magazine was affiliated with Wrestleline in 1999, but I wasn't the internet powerhouse at that point that I am now, so again my knowledge on that front is limited.
