i hope he plays her or gets her into an abusive relationship. jericho would end up in the me again, because he would have so much heat on top of what he has now that they would have no choice.

You want Jericho to be in the Main Event because he's a woman beater??? First off that would make absolutely zero sense and would just confuse the fans to the point where they probably wouldn't care. So they probably wouldn't put that much heat on Jericho.

 

Jericho is doing all this to show that he's right and Austin is wrong. If Jericho were to turn and beat up Trish it would confuse things so badly that the fans would just become apathetic to the whole thing.

Benoit is one of, if not, the most respected characters in the WWE. Everything has built Benoit up as a Veteran who loves the business, a family man, basically just someone everyones respects and cares for. That standing O wasn't because it was a damn good match, that standing O was because everyone knew that Benoit wanted that title so badly, and had come this short. They knew he deserved it, and they all wanted him to have it.

old school fueds is what made the wwf wcw's personal bitch for so long on the ratings.  wwf was being too fundamental, and the average viewer didn't care.  wcw changed the business with the nwo and their subsequent skits and such. vince then added a twist and came out on top. without inovation, your stuckin the past. so stop arguing about your stuupid ass old school fueds that worked so well in the 80's and early 90's. times have changed, and so has american television. if wrestling doesn't evolve with media as  a whole, there is no way in hell they will float.

Who's talking about early 90s? We're saying 98-00. Vince didn't win ratings with shock TV. Vince won ratings with Austin/McMahon and by building up intriging characters and making people care about simple storylines. Shock TV is what Russo used on WCW near it's death. He thought like you and decided people only wanted to be surprised. Well here's a surprise for you. Come to find out, no one really gave a shit! 2000 in WWE had relatively little shock TV in comparison to 99 and whatever garbage Russo was doing at the time and it was the best year for the company.

what russo did was just stupid. he ruined the belt by giving it to arquette, thats what really began the downward spiral. i for one loved those skits with russo in the pope mobile. its was hilarious.

First, you turn off what is becoming a larger demographic; female viewers. Second, only the most immature and brain-dead male fans would go "Woooo! Look Pa, Jericho done bagged himself a hottie! This be some good wrestlin', gahyuk!"

 

Let it be that he is using it against Austin, but has genuine feelings for her. Christian comes along and starts to imitate Jericho for his own selfish reasons, leading to a Jericho/Christian confrontation.

i dont thin this angle has much to do with austin, as was shown by the awkward moment on raw. there are real sparks there, and these two will have sex unless jericho fucks it up somehow.

Maybe it doesn't necessarily have to result in those. Maybe what we will see is Jericho turning face...not his old face self, but more like the face Rock did when he first turned face (still heelish, just directed at the heels). And also hopefully this results in Austin getting off the television for a while...if not ever.

Basically the Jericho/Trish thing is just part of Jericho's plan to foil Austin. They wouldn't drop the Austin storyline to start some thing with Jericho and Trish and Jericho beating up Trish would go against the Austin storyline so that's not going to happen.

 

Jericho is trying to win over wrestlers to his cause and he sees the opportunity with the women because of what Austin did to Stacy.

But they already have several feuds revolving around this already! Test is abusive to Stacy, Steiner was nice to Stacy, then when he had her, he became abusive. Austin beats Stacy because she won't drink beer with him (!). If Jericho jumps on the woman beating bandwagon, people will start to not care. And if all we have on RAW are these woman abusing angles, people will walk away or will tune in casually, see what's going on, and add more fuel to the fire that "wrestling is for rednecks."

 

Jericho needs to do something to make him stand out from the rest of the guys on RAW.
