Brush with Greatness 0 Report post Posted November 6, 2003 Courtesy da Meltz: --UFC officially announced yesterday that Randy Couture would face Vitor Belfort for the light heavyweight title on 1/31 in Las Vegas. Couture, Dana White and Lorenzo Fertitta are going to the Pride show on Sunday as well. Right now, I'm going on the record as officially predicting an upset victory by the Phenom. It seems like he has his confidence back. On the other hand he could get totally owned by the master to the point where someone with his psyche will never recover. What I want to see is Couture and White challenge the winner of the GP at Sunday's show. That would be great. And Dammit. I will be forced to miss Sunday's show (live that is, but possibly altogether). My buddy who gets the PPV's is going hunting for a week. He will try to tape it and we may watch it when he gets back. He capitalized on a big weakness in Eastman's game (when you're as short as Eastman is, bull rushing with your head down is going to eventually lead to some trouble), but Randy has just recently toyed with 2 of the top guys in the division. On the other hand, I do think Randy still has a hole or two in his game (will have to rewatch a couple of matches to be sure) that Vitor could capitalize on, but I'm going with Randy in the middle rounds.
