Am I wrong or wasn't this movie just at the theaters like 3months ago? Did it flop that bad?

I will be picking it up. It was my fav Summer blockbuster action balls to the wall flick this year. And a lot better then I thought it would be considering Claire Danes of all people was casted in it.

It wasn't a flop, but it wasn't the huge hit at the box office people were expecting.

I personally disliked it. It just didn't hold my interest. After a few minutes the action scenes usually turned into a blur of explosions and became boring. There wasn't enough of a story for me to like it.

To me, Pirates of The Carribean was a much more enjoyable "mindless action movie".

God damn movies are coming out on VHS / DVD fast these days.

Is that such a bad thing? I remember when the original Batman took literally a year to come out on video.

And I'm sure this is where the older people will chime in to talk about how long they had to wait for movies to come out

Its not a bad thing. I'm just surprised nowadays. Should I even bother going to the theatre anymore though?

DVD's on average come out 3-4 months after the theater release.

It's only worth going to the theater if it's for a movie you've been looking forward to and really want to see.

I would just think that they would make more money holding off the release to DVD/VHS awhile longer.

Anyways I'll wait until the whole Terminator series gets placed into box set form.

Most movies only make good money at theaters for two months at most. So DVDs being out in 3-4 months later, doesn't really hurt them.

Besides, the DVD market is just as important as theater runs now. It's not like back in VHS days.
