XFWL presents The Greatest Tag Team Tournament...

XFWL’s Greatest Tag Team Tournament (Round 1)...

I’ll make this simple...There have been a lot of great tag teams over the years...Let’s find out which team is the best in everybody’s opinion here...

This tournament will start with 60 teams, broken into groups of 4...Pick one team from each group as the team you’re voting for...Also, at the end, if there’s one team you’d like to write in that I left out, please feel free...

I will count all of the votes, and in the end should end up with 16 teams (15 groups and the write in vote winner)...Those 16 will move on to the second round...8 teams after that will move to the third round...4 teams to the semi-finals...2 to the finals...And then we will have the winners of the XFWL Greatest Tag Team Tournament...

Please post your votes right here for each grouping, or e-mail them to me at [email protected], or post them on our boards at http://xfwl.proboards9.com...

Why werent Team Extreme included. Or Jado and Gedo? BTW, Team Extreme is RVD and Sabu

Well I researched the teams for this using title histories from WWF, NWA, and WCW...Also I looked at PWI's top 100 tag teams list (from 2001)...And then I threw in some recent teams just to have a touch of the present...But yeah, with only 60 teams, some great ones were bound to be left off...

But that's why I included a "write in" area where you could vote for one team not already listed...Actually, RVD and Sabu have received a number of write-in votes already...

By Group

1 Bulldogs

2. Tully and Arn

3. Demolition

4. Rockers (by a mile, and it's criminal the Blonds will get many more votes than they deserve. They were a very good team, but hardly as innovative and with the longevity of Michaels and Jannetty)

5. Ugh... A.P.A

6. Steiner Bros.

7. Jack and Gerald Brisco

8. Edge and Christian

9. Dudleyz

10. Road Warriors

11. Midnight Express

12. Rock and Roll Express

13. World's Greatest Tag Team

14. Los Guerreros

15. Funk Bros.

Write In: since they're the best team today(IMO) KENTA & Marufuji

GROUP 1

The British Bulldogs, as much as I dislike both. They're influential, or whatever.

GROUP 2

I've seen more of Public Enemy than I have of Triple X, so PE gets the vote.

GROUP 3

Simon Diamond and Johnny Swinger, no contest.

GROUP 4

The Rockers were always an awesome, awesome team.

GROUP 5

The FBI was great in ECW. Well, 'cept for Sal.

GROUP 6

The Impact Players in a tough vote. I like the Steiners, but Lance and Justin are awesome.

GROUP 7

Money Inc. was a great team.

GROUP 8

Edge and Christian, easily. I really like Benoit/Malenko, but E and C are one of my favourite tag teams of all time.

GROUP 9

The Hardy Boyz crush the stale Dudleyz.

GROUP 10

The Outsiders, I guess.

GROUP 11

The Hart Foundation is one of the best tag teams ever.

GROUP 12

The Rock-n-Sock Connection were pretty cool.

GROUP 13

The World’s Greatest Tag Team isn't the best tag team in the world yet, but they're certainly the best in WWE.

GROUP 14

Los Guerreros! Cheat 2 Win!

GROUP 15

Mikey Whipwreck and Yoshihiro Tajiri were a fun tag in ECW.

Write-in: Were Yoko and Owen listed? If so, otherwise I pick Angle/Benoit.
