Phoenix Fury Legdrop 0 Report post Posted November 23, 2003 El Viejo d. ????? (Came in late) Nate Webb d. Arik Cannon (little spotty, but fun) Trik Davis d. Casanova Boz & Bradley d. Bad Breed & Lancasters (Fannin let Lancasters enter after they mocked both teams for being too small, so all four guys beat the holy hell out of the Lancasters, including a spot where Ian stretching Jason's mouth out, then used one hand to pick Jason's nose, and then put the boogers in Jason's mouth; then after Lancasters got eliminated, pier-six brawl with BB vs. Chicago guys, long post-match promo by Ian to set up next month (look at bottom) Chris Hero d. Steve Stone (MOTN, imo; Stone worked over Hero's throat to attack his cardio so he could gas out Hero for the win, but Hero came back, including doing a standing Hangman's clutch, and won with the regular one; Ian promo afterwards putting over both, more at bottom) JC Bailey d. Sonjay Dutt to retain IWA LW Title, 2 falls to 1 (First fall, Opie (new dude, red hair, pale) reffed, Bailey wins in 40 seconds. Then, he "messed up" a call where Sonjay got an illegal win. So, Ian fired him, and replaced him with Nate Webb, who did the Horshack bit with the raising his hand on commentary. After Nate reffed the second fall (which Sonjay won with a 450), MICKAAAAAAAAAAAAYYYY (who served me a hot dog & Pepsi at the concession stand, btw) got called out for the third fall, which JC won with a Northern Lights Bomb. Sonjay put over JC on the mic post-match) Balls Mahoney NC Corp. Robinson (straight wrestling to start, but Corp. turned it into a friendly brawl, including a SICK unprotected chairshot from Balls to Corp.; Super Mean (Daniels & Whitmer) come out, spike piledrove Balls onto the concrete (while both Mickey & Corp. are out cold), and Balls can't continue. Corp. makes challenges for next month, more at bottom) Danny Daniels d. Nigel McGuiness to retain IWA-MS Heavyweight Title (comedy opening, with Fannin burying Nigel during the introductions ("Introducing, the Challenger...who has no chance of winning tonight...", then Danny gets frustrated at Nigel out-wrestling him. Danny isn't tall enough to do the Greco-Roman knucklelock, so he went up top and locked in the G-R Knucklelock with Nigel, then Nigel let go and Danny fell on his face. Rest of the match was Danny working over the neck and back of Nigel, ending with long Guerrero/Malenko sequence, ending with Danny nailing a piledriver for the win. Fannin & Daniels celebrate, show closes with Ian telling us to spread the word). Attendance was announced by Ian as 47, I believe. Matches for Next Month: AJ Styles vs. Chris Hero B-Boy vs. Ian Rotten Brad Bradley & Ryan Boz vs. Sandman & Axl Rotten Corporal Robinson vs. Danny Daniels & Jim Fannin (I think it was announced as "No Rules", mic wasn't too clear) Worth buying on tape; no DP on commentary, however. LucharesuFan619 0 Report post Posted November 23, 2003 AJ Styles vs. Chris Hero Marking out is what one does when they see a dream match be booked. That's what I'm doing right now. And fuckin' B-Boy vs. Ian? Hell, yeah...assuming Ian sticks to the mat stuff, not the hardcore shit.

PsychoDriver 0 Report post Posted November 23, 2003 Damn, there goes Sonjay's chance to hold 4 Juniorheavyweight belts at once. As for the next show, Hero Vs. Styles sounds great but B-Boy Vs. Ian Rotten sounds a little weird. What's the date of the next show anyway?
Phoenix Fury Legdrop 0 Report post Posted November 23, 2003 December 19th and PsychoDriver, if you haven't seen Ian Rotten in the past 18 months or so, Ian/B-Boy might sound a little weird. But, like has been reiiterated so much in the past, he's a totally changed worker.

The match still seems to be coming out of nowhere though but I'll wait and see how it turns out..
