Good FPS'ers on PS2

Recommended Posts

After playing Halo for nearly 5 hours straight with my buddy Drew at his house, I'm in the need of some really good first person shooters. The problem? I don't own X-Box, so Halo's out. I have a PS2 and an N64 (and I don't have an expansion pack, so Perfect Dark is out, and I already have Goldeneye). Know of any really good FPS'ers for PS2? I know Medal Of Honor is supposed to be a really good one, but it doesn't look like it'd interest me too much, as I'd rather kill some zombies or some aliens over Germans and Japanese.

There is no question that the best first person shooter is Timesplitters 2. I think that it is even better than Halo. Rent it if you want, but there is no better FPS than Timesplitters 2. It is just pure choas all the time. Great fun, especially multi-player.

I wouldn't say Timesplitters II is better than Halo, its just as equal.

Red Faction is recommended, but I didn't like Red Faction II all that much.

RF2 is decent --- I personally loathe FPS --- but you usually CAN pick it up cheap as it didn't sell squat on the PS2 and every store I've seen carries it for $20.

Timesplitters 2, from all I hear, is darned good, too.

I agree with Timesplitters II is damn well good, and is as good as Halo as two of my three top favourite FPS (GoldenEye is the other).

Now I gotta wait till April for Halo 2 (hopefully)
