ChrisMWaters Posted December 1, 2003 Report Posted December 1, 2003 OK...we all know that Triple H thinks he's the second coming of Ric Flair. And we've jokingly said that Trips was trying to make Bubba into his version of Dusty Rhodes. For kicks...let's try and figure out who would fit in current WWE as old school Flair opponents. Who would be Triple H's version of Ric Flair's... Sting Barry Whindham Harley Race Dusty Rhodes Terry Funk Randy Savage Roddy Piper Hulk Hogan Ricky Steamboat Lex Luger ...I think that's all the major ones.
Guest JMA Posted December 1, 2003 Report Posted December 1, 2003 In a way, Triple H is more Dusty Rhodes than Ric Flair. Think about it.
Guest Ray Posted December 1, 2003 Report Posted December 1, 2003 I think it would be hard to compare, since, you know, Flair PUT ALL OF THOSE MEN OVER, and Triple H NEVER does....
Downhome Posted December 1, 2003 Report Posted December 1, 2003 Funk = Foley Steamboat = Benoit Savage = Angle
HarleyQuinn Posted December 1, 2003 Report Posted December 1, 2003 Barry Windham = RVD(Can put on solid matches with the right opponents, not great on the mic but passable)
CanadianChris Posted December 1, 2003 Report Posted December 1, 2003 I think it would be hard to compare, since, you know, Flair PUT ALL OF THOSE MEN OVER, and Triple H NEVER does.... Yep. There's no one on HHH's level (and that is NOT meant as flattery).
OldSchoolWrestling Posted December 1, 2003 Report Posted December 1, 2003 Also, Ricky Morton=Bubba Dudley
Guest ligerbomb03 Posted December 1, 2003 Report Posted December 1, 2003 Tajiri could play the role of Great Muta
Guest BionicRedneck Posted December 1, 2003 Report Posted December 1, 2003 Barry Windham = RVD(Can put on solid matches with the right opponents, not great on the mic but passable) Wha??? Windham fucking ruled.
Fökai Posted December 1, 2003 Report Posted December 1, 2003 Sting = Steve Austin. Harley Race = Mick Foley. Barry Windham = Shawn Michaels, Part One. Dusty Rhodes = Booker T. Terry Funk = Vince McMahon. Randy Savage = Kurt Angle. Roddy Piper = Chris Jericho. Hulk Hogan = The Rock. Ricky Steamboat = Chris Benoit. Lex Luger = Kane. And a few additions... Vader = Undertaker. Arn Anderson = Shawn Michaels, Part Deux.
The Mandarin Posted December 1, 2003 Report Posted December 1, 2003 Vince McMahon was always a better wrestler than Terry Funk. And Mick Foley is a way better technical wrestler than Harley Race. WAY better. So I don't see how you could draw those comparisons. I'm joking. Please don't hurt me.
razazteca Posted December 1, 2003 Report Posted December 1, 2003 In a way, Triple H is more Dusty Rhodes than Ric Flair. Think about it. Was it HHH's idea to make the Elimation Chamber?

Guest Breetai Posted December 2, 2003 Report Posted December 2, 2003 Stemboat = Booker, hence their Wrestlemania feud. Of course Booker should have WON, but that's besides the point.
Slayer Posted December 2, 2003 Report Posted December 2, 2003 Ric Flair took mid-carders like Sting, Koloff, Windham and Luger and elevated them main event status literally overnight (yeah you could argue Luger was on his way, but to take Flair out of his equation would severely diminish him) Therefore Triple H's equivalents = Ø

I was just joking, I just wanted somebody to stomp on my ass for saying that Vince was better than Terry Funk. That's all. Now on the other hand, Dusty Rhodes is in way better shape and has better tights than Booker T EVER did. So, choke on your words.
razazteca Posted December 2, 2003 Report Posted December 2, 2003 No way Booker T during the Harlem Heat days with the Breath Rite Strip was the greatest ring attire EVER!
