Damaramu 0 Report post Posted December 6, 2003 Just an hour and a half till the Big XII! If OU dominates I think it'll finally prove that they are going to win the national championship.
Cartman 0 Report post Posted December 6, 2003 Mike Williams should enter the draft...period. I'm not a huge fan of players coming out early but this kid can flat out PLAY. Not to mention the Pats could use someone like that. Trade up for him!
the pinjockey 0 Report post Posted December 6, 2003 Cartman, in actuality some midnight green with some Eagles wings on the helmet would be the fashion statement he needs to make.
Vern Gagne 0 Report post Posted December 6, 2003 He's a true Sophmore, so he'd have to take his case to court and by the time it's heard it would likely be too late to enter. Besides USC will be the clear cut favorites next year for the National Championship.

Bored 0 Report post Posted December 6, 2003 Yes and Matt Leinhart is also a sophomore and they have a talented group of freshmen running backs led by Reggie Bush so I think its a good bet USC will be preseason #1 next year as they will be scary good. Besides USC will be the clear cut favorites next year for the National Championship. Not quite as clear-cut as you'd think. LSU is returning about 90% of its starters next year and a lot of the young players, like the running backs, will only get better. The only guys I know are leaving for sure are DT Chad Lavolais, WR Devry Henderson, and OG Steven Peterman.
Vern Gagne 0 Report post Posted December 6, 2003 Don't count out the possibility of Nick Saban leaving for the NFL.
Damaramu 0 Report post Posted December 6, 2003 Well OU does have a lot of the same starters as well. I don't know if they'll get somebody as good as Jason White but they could still go to the Championship. Maybe not as #1 but as #2.
teke184 0 Report post Posted December 7, 2003 Don't count out the possibility of Nick Saban leaving for the NFL. This will probably be the last anyone will talk about Saban jumping to the NFL for MANY years. Either he'll do it after bringing LSU to a 2nd BCS game in 3 years or he'll stay at LSU for a long time. Personally, I think he's staying because Mrs. Saban is fucking tired of moving every few years and the whole family likes Baton Rouge.

Slayer 0 Report post Posted December 7, 2003 Okay, I lied, as it took me much quicker to get home than expected and the game isn't on for another 20 mins KSU has given OU three tough hard-fought wins in the last three years, and I think again that Snyder will give OU a run for their money, win or lose. Again, go Wildcats
Vern Gagne 0 Report post Posted December 7, 2003 Stolen from GameDay. Kansas St. has to be able to pass the ball if they want to win.
Bored 0 Report post Posted December 7, 2003 Very bad news for USC. Special to ESPN.com ESPN's Brad Edwards breaks down the impact of Syracuse's 38-12 win over Notre Dame -- a result that may allow LSU to make it to the BCS championship game: Edwards: "Notre Dame's loss weakens USC and will allow LSU to finish with a better schedule strength than the Trojans. If LSU and Boise State (an 11-point favorite at Hawaii) both win tonight, LSU will end up at least five schedule strength spots ahead of USC, which means the Tigers would only need supremacy in six computers to make up the rest of its current deficit. I believe they will finish ahead of USC in at least six, if not all seven computers. USC could beat Oregon State by 50, and it won't matter, because LSU doesn't need to jump USC in the human polls. LSU should be in the Nokia Sugar Bowl with a win tonight unless Hawaii beats Boise State, which would make it necessary for LSU to get one-tenth of a point in quality-win bonus from Georgia remaining in the BCS top 10. If LSU is able to jump USC in all seven computers, however, the quality-win points won't be necessary. If LSU and Boise State both win, USC's only remaining chance would be for Oklahoma to lose and fall to No. 2 in the polls -- between USC and LSU. If the Sooners lose and fall to No. 3 in both polls, then USC would be No. 1 in both polls and finish third in the BCS. Basically, if LSU, Oklahoma and Boise State all win tonight, I feel confident that LSU will be No. 2 when the BCS comes out tomorrow." I know you could make a good argument for LSU but I think this is a joke and the BCS will have failed yet again. USC has done nothing to hurt their spot at as the #2 team in the country and they deserve to be playing for the national title, period. Now I should probably be rooting for Georgia now since I would like to see the Pac-10 get a chance at the national title and they should have had a shot in 2001 with Oregon. Then again if this does play out I do get my Pac-10/Big Ten match-up in the Rose Bowl, really doesn't get any better than USC/Michigan, and still a shot at a split national champion which could be the crushing blow to the BCS. Hmmm decisions, decisions.

USC has done nothing to hurt their spot at as the #2 team in the country and they deserve to be playing for the national title, period. I have two arguments for LSU over USC, namely their stronger schedule and loss to a better team (ranked Florida versus unranked Cal) and if they repeat over Georgia tonight then they should be in the title game. On the other hand, as I've said, I think it's you-know-what that it can come down to all the indirect factors, like a game between two sub-.500 teams

Also going into today USC had a higher strengh of schedule that LSU. LSU's will push pass them by getting a 2nd game against Georgia. On top of that LSU's non-conference schedule was a joke: Louisana-Monroe, Arizona, I-AA Western Illinois, and Louisiana Tech.

On top of that LSU's non-conference schedule was a joke: Louisana-Monroe, Arizona, I-AA Western Illinois, and Louisiana Tech. 1. LSU's non-conference schedule sucked this year because Troy State and Marshall pulled out at the last minute, hence Western Illinois and ULM. Also, Arizona fucked QUITE a few teams this year because they signed a bunch of contracts when they were a Top 10 team a few years back then were one of the worst BCS conference teams this year. BTW- Western Illinois gave us a better game than the Pac 10's own Arizona did and probably a better game than most of the Pac 10 could have this year. 2. LSU's CONFERENCE schedule beats the living hell out of USC's whole schedule this season. Auburn's a wash because both teams played them but LSU will have played #5 Georgia twice, #12 Florida, Ole Miss, Arkansas, etc. Outside of Washington State, USC hasn't played anyone worth a crap because Hawaii, Notre Dame, etc. are all at about .500 or below and many of the Pac 10 teams completely suck this year. teke184 0 Report post Posted December 7, 2003 (edited) Hey Georgia... Who'syourdaddy? 14-0 from a 85 yard TD run, safety off of a dropped punt attempt, long-ass TD pass to Michael Clayton... if Chris Jackson could kick the ball at the broadside of a barn, this would be a perfect game. Let's also hear it for K-State, who's up 14-7 on Oklahoma. If Oklahoma loses, LSU will be in the Sugar and USC may be the odd man out.
