ant_7000 Posted December 2, 2003 Report Posted December 2, 2003 Have anyone heard of them? I just copped their CD and I was impressed with the lyrics and production. I like "So Fabulous" and "Yo Yo." Phonte, I think has potential as a lyricist, 9th Wonder is nice as the Producer he mixes up a lot jazz and blues/soul in his beats. He did a beat for Jay-Z's Black Album. Hopefully, someone will sign this group because their talented. Any thoughts?
Guest TheArchiteck Posted December 3, 2003 Report Posted December 3, 2003 Yeah, I picked up their album in mid summer. Pretty good album. Good production and great lyrics. Although a few of the beats sound very similiar at times...and a couple do get boring after a few listens. I will say that 9th wonder did grow as a producer since then. When I first heard them, I've gotten this Slum Village vibe. Who is personally one of my favorite group. Its a shame my favorite producer Jay Dee isn't under their name anymore.

I know Sandbox has God's Stepson i'm not too sure about any justice league mixtapes. "9th album" is the "Black Album" mixes right?
