BifEverchad Posted December 3, 2003 Report Posted December 3, 2003 I installed XP about a month ago, over my normal Windows 98 operating system. Since then, I dont see the big deal and I'd rather have my regular Windows 98 back. Can I uninstall XP and go back to 98, or is it more complicated than that?
Dr. Tyler; Captain America Posted December 3, 2003 Report Posted December 3, 2003 *shudders* Win98 is worse than WinXP...
CanadianChris Posted December 3, 2003 Report Posted December 3, 2003 You can only uninstall XP if you checked the option when you were installing XP to make uninstall files. If not, the install is irreversible. If you did, though, a scroll through the help menu should get you on your way. I'm surprised you're so unimpressed with XP, though. I found that Illegal Operations and BSODs that forced me to shut down went from nearly one a day with 98 to nearly nil with XP.
BifEverchad Posted December 3, 2003 Author Report Posted December 3, 2003 Well, my burner doesnt work now. So, I'm kinda pissed off with XP because my software isnt compatable anymore. Yeah, and I know you can somehow burn a CD without software with XP, but I couldnt fuckin figure it out.
Guest Big_Jay101 Posted December 4, 2003 Report Posted December 4, 2003 Microsoft Windows Media player will burn them on XP
Guest Waldo Posted December 4, 2003 Report Posted December 4, 2003 Well, my burner doesnt work now. So, I'm kinda pissed off with XP because my software isnt compatable anymore. You have to download 2000/NT/XP drivers for your burner.
