PsychoDriver 0 Report post Posted December 11, 2003 Nice... glad to see your opinion of SD Vs. Ryan has raised. What does everyone have against Frankie Kazarian though?
Guest The Last Free Voice Report post Posted December 11, 2003 I don't like Kazarian because he has had ONE good match I've seen of him, and that he constantly brings other workers down to his "level". Granted I've only seen his TNA work, but it was pretty bad.

But most everything I've seen him do in SoCal has been excellent though
Guest The Last Free Voice Report post Posted December 11, 2003 The one good match he had was the one vs Sabin
Michrome 0 Report post Posted December 11, 2003 Frankie is a solid worker, no doubt, but why put the belt on a guy who's known as an X-Division jobber? His match with Daniels was very, very good, pretty much all thanks to Daniels who controlled 13 of the 15 minutes or so. Daniels vs. Ryan would have been a great final, and a great way to make Ryan a star.

I think the reason Joey Ryan didn't the belt is because he's part of the booking team and it'd maybe take some crediblity away from the title if someone booked themself to win the belt (you reading John Zandig?) Just a theory though... Maybe I need to watch more NWA-TNA Kazarian matches but based on what I've seen, I do like Frankie's work alot (since his UPW "Evolution" days with Nova) he is a very solid wrestler. Check out his match with a American Dragon from 11/15/03 maybe another carry job but still an excellent match.
Guest The Last Free Voice Report post Posted December 11, 2003 I think, in TNA at least, he got pushed, and relied on his look rather than in ring work. You couldn't see any difference between his first matches and ones he had near the end. He didn't try to step it up. That is why i don't like him i think. Granted I've only seen his TNA work, but it was pretty bad. This may very well have something to do with it...I'm also a member of the Hate Frankie Club, and I've also only seen his TNA work... TNA has a way of booking talented guys to actually look like they lack talent...They did it with Low Ki, Elix Skipper, and Christopher Daniels during most of Triple X's run... Michrome 0 Report post Posted December 11, 2003 Don't know who John Zandig is. Joey Ryan is a star in the making, all he needs is a better finish (a tiger driver or something would be perfect). I'm really looking forward to seeing it live this saturday.
Tawren 0 Report post Posted December 12, 2003 I'm a big Kazarian fan. I liked his TNA work (most of it), especially the match vs Sabin on 9/03.

Guest macheteofodin Report post Posted December 12, 2003 I like Kazarian and that's only after seeing him in the two PWG shows I have. I haven't seen his TNA stuff, but as Joe pointed out, when normally talented wrestlers go to TNA they don't seem to shine like they normally would. Oh, Michrome, John Zandig is the owner of CZW. He likes to put the title on himself for some odd reason. haha. Very good and detailed review.
Guest Joe Report post Posted December 12, 2003 I've got a question concerning the DVD quality...I know it's an Indy fed so I'm not expecting WWE production, but is it good? Maybe compared to the first few RoH DVDs?...I hate when you have the "NYPD Blue" shakey cameras, or the horrible sound...
Michrome 0 Report post Posted December 12, 2003 Very good quality....dont have the lame sound vs. picture difference of a few seconds, and the dvds have nice bonus stuff on them. On the 2 DVDs that have commentary you can turn it off when you want to, a real nice feature
Guest Joe Report post Posted December 12, 2003 Awesome... I can't watch a match on TV/DVD without commentary though...It just feels too weird ... Great review btw...You were very fair to the show...And definitely have me thinking about ordering a copy...
Guest Deviant Report post Posted December 21, 2003 Hmmm, I was planning on buying this one for an introduction to PWG, but the star ratings alone doesn't make it sound that great... Is it still worth buying for an impression of PWG, or is there a better show or is PWG just not going to impress overall? I don't get the Kazarian hate...
