Guest hhheld_down Report post Posted December 11, 2003 whats up all. well I looked in my local newspaper and found out that tickets go on sale for an upcoming WWE RAW house show January 16th 2004 this saturday and since they rarely come here (iowa), I thought I may try to pick up some good seats but then I looked at the product and wandered if its even worth it. A few years ago, hell yeah, but now I am not sure. For those who have gone recently, how was it?
SamoaRowe 0 Report post Posted December 11, 2003 Yes, it's worth it. The tickets aren't that expensive and it's a great time. I went to a house show a few months back from the Raw brand it was an awesome show. Even the wrestlers who I normally thought sucked did really well.
Guest Dynamite Kido Report post Posted December 11, 2003 The way I would put it is like this. Ask yourself the following questions..... 1. How bad do you wanna see live wrestling? The reason I ask is that if you REALLY want some live wrestling then go. If it's not that big of a deal then skip it. 2. Do you have the extra money? I asked this one because if you don't, it's definately NOT worth the cash. 3. Do you watch Indy wrestling? If so check your local area, if there is anything of interest I would recommend it first. You will see better matches and you might get to meet some wrestlers. But check the Indy fed out first to make shure that they aren't shitty. I have been to several House shows, and they honestly are pretty bad. But if you are going with a group of friends and you are just looking to have a fun night out it's worth it. 2GOLD 0 Report post Posted December 11, 2003 I saw RAW live when the Hitman was still in a wheelchair and Ahmed Johnson was feuding with the Nation (it was right after that IYH where Taker defeated Austin and Ahmed lost that gaunlet match) Also known as the night RVD debuted against Jeff Hardy I saw ECW last show at the Arena, that was also cool and now a very special moment. I saw Nitro which ended up being the last match of Arn Anderson. So would I go now? Hell f'n no! Usually the LIVE shows are very good but I remember when the house shows used to just be the PPV repeated. Now it's the guys you would only know if you saw them in another promotion. I didn't go the last time SD or RAW was in town but if you have never seen a live event then, yeah go.
tekcop 0 Report post Posted December 11, 2003 I've never been, but according to Meltzer house shows are more entertaining than going to RAW or a Smackdown taping. But, that's just his opinion.

You avoid most of the interviews and the crappy backstage segments. If you like wrestling then you go to a house show. If you like sports entertainment then house shows may not be your cup of tea since most of it is cut out. Maybe I should have just summed it the hell up like that in the first place? Guest nikowwf Report post Posted December 11, 2003 If you can't get killer seats, wait for Ebay. People buy the tickets to scalp (no idea why) and the market is so down you can get tickets - good tickets for like half off. Check the current shows on sale for what I mean. niko
