For Immediate Release:

1/1/04

Total Nonstop Action in conjunction with the National Wrestling Alliance is proud to announce a new direction effective immediately. In a mutual decision, Dutch Mantel has stepped down as head booker of NWATNA. TNA management and The NWA decided to place in a booker with no political ties. Enter the Last Free Voice, a previously unknown booker from Ohio. He released the following statement:

“I am proud to be on board with this organization. I promise to bring the perfect balance of different styles of Pro Wrestling mixed with the right amount of Drama, to provide the best combined experience. TNA is working on several new areas, including a training camp, so keep checking NWATNA.com for updates.”

End

(Okay people, I got burned out on writing all that stuff for MLW, so I started this. I’ll be using Deacons style for the most part match wise, just letting Dames do his thing and adding in stuff here and there. I’ll still be writing all the promos and segments myself. I also have a much broader plan for this, as I was relatively short-sighted in MLW. First show will be up soon, I hope.)

by The Dames

CM Punk vs Amazing Red vs Chris Sabin vs Paul London.

Match Background: This will be an elimination bout. London is making his debut at this show.

The Match: Dropkick connects to the BUTT of the jaw and Red goes down. Second rope flying axe handle, Red goes down. One day, Punk might even consider coming off the top with that. You know...for more impact and stuff. There's a two count on the pin. Amazing Red is able to duck a clothesline attempt and connect with a counter clothesline. Tag to Paul London. Spin kick by Paul London to the face sends the opponent FLYING across the ring. CM Punk charges, London moves, and the referee is knocked silly! Springboard dropkick from Paul London. Nicely done. Pinfall attempt, but the ref is out and can't count to three! Hard back suplex on Punk. Come to think of it, that move had WAY too much power in No Mercy for N64. Punk pushes out of a Paul London hold. London falls out of the ring so cue the TRAINWRECK SPOT~! Punk tags out to Chris Sabin. SUPER frankensteiner on London, who hit hard and is loopy as a result. Spin kick by Chris Sabin to the face sends the opponent FLYING across the ring. London ducks a wild right hand. Sabin takes a flying neckbreaker from Paul London. Tiger suplex on Sabin. No Misawa references from me, I swear. Oh, dammit. The ref gets into position, administers the three count, and it's over. Paul London pins Sabin. Spinning back kick from Amazing Red. Amazing Red hits a rolling kick on London. Konnan has ruined any chance for me ever enjoying this maneuver again with his shitty execution of it. Covers for a quick two count. Spinning bulldog in the corner and London is down! Hooks the leg! ONE...TWO...NO! Amazing Red misses a clothesline. Power drive elbow by Paul London. That sounds like a feature on a 4 x 4, doesn't it. Tag between Paul London and CM Punk. Red gets hit with SPLASH MOUNTAIN~! out of the corner! The ref gets into position, administers the three count, and it's over. CM Punk pins Red. London walks into a high dropkick from CM Punk, almost losing several teeth in the process. Paul London pulls a mule kick out of nowhere. SUPER frankensteiner on Punk, who hit hard and is loopy as a result. Cover, ONE...TWO...NO! I honestly thought that match was going to end right then and there. CM Punk comes up with a right hand out of nowhere. Punk hits a dropkick on Paul London and gets right back up. CM Punk has Paul London down on the canvas. Devil Lock!!! Paul London taps out!

My Opinion: A wise man once said 'Can I get a side of bland with that bland'. He's dead now, though. That's what this match was...bland. ** (67 59 76)

(That's how you wanna start off a show, with your bread and butter. The X-Division is gonna be a focal point, although it has lots of room for improvement)

We throw to the back to Scott Hudson, who is in Raven's lair. The Gathering is standing behind Raven, who sits infront of his candle.

Scott: Well Raven, tonight you get a chance to fufill your destiny, to win the NWA championchip. (Raven grabs the mic away)

Raven: Dreams have long been used by wisemen as a way of seeing the future. And Jeff Jarrett, last night I dreamt of blood. I dreamt of an epic battle, dreanched in blood. I dreamt of wave upon wave of suffering. I dreamt of Glory. Jeff, last night I saw the future, last night I saw OUR future. Last night I saw both of us, lying in the middle of the ring dreanched in blood, sweat and tears. Last night I saw my self being carried out by my faithfull followers, victorious. How do I know I was victorious? Because I was carrying the World Championchip. Be afraid Jeff, be afraid. I think you hear me knocking, I think I'm coming in. Quote the Raven, Nevermore....

(Raven walks off) (Punk turns twoard Alexis Laree)

Punk: Good to have you back Alexis, we all missed you.

Alexis: Good to be back, CM. Great job earlyer, by the way. (The camera fades to black and then back to the ring)

(93)

Briscoe Boys vs Swinger and Diamond.

Match Background: J.Briscoe is making his debut at this show. M.Briscoe is making his debut at this show.

The Match: Hard back suplex on Diamond. Come to think of it, that move had WAY too much power in No Mercy for N64. Diamond takes a NICE hurrancarana from Jay Briscoe. Covers for a quick two count. J.Briscoe tags out to Mark Briscoe. Briscoe Boys whip Diamond into the corner. Mark Briscoe whips Jay Briscoe in for a hard clothesline to follow-up. Implant DDT by Mark Briscoe! I will always and forever mark out for that move. Hooks the leg for a two count. Mark Briscoe connects with a back heel kick on Diamond and gets back up quickly. Simon Diamond reverses a hip toss. Massive lariat! Stan Hansen would approve. Tag between Simon Diamond and Swinger. Swinger uses a basement dropkick to the knee and it looks like it might be TIME TO GO TO SCHOOL~! Flying cross body off the top rope! Mark Briscoe avoids a Swinger avalanche by getting out of the damn way! M.Briscoe tags out to Jay Briscoe. Super kick by Jay Briscoe. DDT from the top rope by Jay Briscoe. That looked KILLER. Hooks the leg! ONE...TWO...NO! STIFF high kick on Swinger by Jay Briscoe. Swinger counters a sleeper with a jaw breaker and is able to get free! J.Briscoe takes a NICE hurrancarana from Swinger. Jay Briscoe is in big trouble...Problem Solver!! 1....2....3!

My Opinion: I'll give this a ***1\4 rating. If I left it up to you, you'd probably think it was the greatest match ever! Keep trying... (72 53 91)

(Glenn Gilberti wasn't at ringside, could there be tension? A solid debut for the young Briscoe boys, who have a bright future here. The Tag division is always getting stronger.)

We cut to Scott in the back as he approaches Low-Ki, who blows him off and walks right past him. Scott shrugs and the camera follows Ki down the hall. Out of nowhere, Christopher Daniels wollops Ki with a chair from behind, flooring him! He drops the chair and puts the boots to him, but Ki grabs his leg and trips him! Both men get to their feet and fight up the hall and out onto the ramp! They make their way to the ring as an Offical flys down the ramp and tells Tiny the Timekeeper to ring the bell to start the match!

(78)

Low Ki vs Christopher Daniels.

Match Background: Daniels and Low Ki have been feuding recently. Neither has managed to get an in-ring victory in this feud.

The Match: Christopher Daniels connects with a back heel kick on Low Ki and gets back up quickly. Low Ki blocks the suplex attempt and is able to hit the suplex instead! Low Ki scoops and slams Christopher Daniels. What's the difference between a scoop slam and a body slam anyway? Low Ki misses a clothesline...and takes out the referee accidentally! Spear! Daniels is down! THREE KICK COMBO~!!! Pinfall attempt, but the ref is out and can't count to three! Christopher Daniels pulls a mule kick out of nowhere. Second rope flying axe handle, Low Ki goes down. One day, Daniels might even consider coming off the top with that. You know...for more impact and stuff. Daniels crushes Low Ki with a huge legdrop. Hooks the leg for a two count. Tor-NADO DDT from Christopher Daniels, Low Ki got planted! Pin, but Low Ki is out just before the three count. Low Ki elbows Christopher Daniels in the face to break a hammerlock. Nice piledriver on Daniels. Pinfall attempt: ONE...TWO...NO! Daniels blocks a punch. Low Ki grabs Christopher Daniels from behind and shoves him into the ropes, then scores with a roll-up...but Daniels rolls through with the move! He is using the tights for leverage! 1....2...3! The referee didn't see it! Christopher Daniels slides out of the ring to the floor, then turns and leaves through the crowd. He's happy to have the win, and evidently isn't going to hang around for Low Ki to get some payback.

My Opinion: They definitely need to hook up again, I don't care what anyone says. ***1\2 (73 52 95)

(Two of the top in the game do not fail to disapoint. Daniels turned tail quickly, but had alot to say, some of which will be posted later this week as part of the newsleter)

Jeff Jarrett and Don Callis are in the back, talking.

Jeff: Don, I don’t know why I’m doin this tonight. Raven aint beaten anyone to earn this shot.

Don: Yes champ, I know. The management thinks it’s a good idea. Raven appeals to the druggie demographic. The ratings go through the roof whenever he’s in a big match!  Relax, we’ve got it covered.

Jeff: You better.

America's Most Wanted vs Getting Rowdy.

Match Background: This match is for the NWA Tag Team titles.

The Match: Fallaway slam by Chris Harris puts down Ron Killings. Nice piledriver on The Truth. Hooks the leg for a two count. Wildcat tags out to James Storm. James Storm scoops up The Truth. Wildcat bounces off the ropes and hits a flying Hart Attack clothesline. Fallaway slam by James Storm puts down Ron Killings. Covers for a quick two count. Storm slams Ron Killings. Ron Killings is able to duck a clothesline attempt and connect with a counter clothesline. Ron Killings scores with a big spinebuster. Tag between Ron Killings and B.G. James. Big kick from James staggers Storm but that's about it. Big clothesline from James. James Storm fights out of a grapple. Storm tags out to Chris Harris. Big piledriver on James. Massive lariat! Stan Hansen would approve. Pinfall attempt: ONE...TWO...NO! Wildcat scoops and slams B.G. James. What's the difference between a scoop slam and a body slam anyway? James blocks a kick from Chris Harris. Big clothesline from James. Swinger and Diamond come running down the aisle and into the ring! Wildcat turns...and is dropped with a double DDT! Wildcat in big trouble. Chris Harris is in trouble. Dogg Pound! 1....2....3. We have a three-way stand off in the ring, as America's Most Wanted, Getting Rowdy and Swinger and Diamond look at each other. They all charge forward, and a three-way brawl erupts in the ring! Security and a pile of referees hit the ring to stop the carnage.

My Opinion: *1\2 rating. Hey, you wanted to make it harder on yourself, right?

(What’s up with Simon and Swinger? Why do they care who they fight for the titles? Who knows, Gilberti, who was at the top of the ramp for the brawl at the end, didn’t look happy.)

 (71 72 69)

Jeff Jarrett vs Raven.

Match Background: Raven and Jarrett have been feuding recently. Neither has managed to get an in-ring victory in this feud. This match is for the NWA World title.

The Match: Jeff Jarrett with a spinning neckbreaker on Raven. Nice piledriver on Raven. Covers for a quick two count. Jarrett drops an elbow...but Raven moves out of the way. STIFF~! chop lights up Jarrett who covers up to try and stop the agonizing PAIN! Raven with a spinning neckbreaker on Jarrett. Covers for a quick two count. Raven scores with a big spinebuster. Pin, but Jarrett is out just before the three count. Raven slams Jeff Jarrett down and motions to the crowd. Raven drops an elbow...but Jeff Jarrett moves out of the way. Jeff Jarrett hits a bulldog off the ropes. There's a two count on the pin. Death valley driver by Jeff Jarrett! No one executes that move properly anymore. Pinfall attempt: ONE...TWO...NO! I would have bought that as the finish! Flying shoulder tackle by Jarrett sends Raven CRASHING to the mat. Jeff Jarrett connects with rights and lefts and Raven is down! Raven is able to duck a clothesline attempt and connect with a counter clothesline. Raven with a spinning neckbreaker on Jarrett. Spear! Jarrett is down! Jeff Jarrett slides out and grabs a chair! Raven goes to climb out of the ring...and takes a chair to the head! The referee has no hesitation in calling for the bell! Disqualification. Abyss comes running down the aisle with a chair and into the ring! Raven turns...and is dropped by a vicious chair shot! Abyss has left Raven down and bloodied. But The Gathering have hit the ring to dispose of Abyss. JJ and Abyss turn tail as Punk and Julio help Raven to his feet.

My Opinion: I really shouldn't drink when I'm reviewing matches. Especially with Scotsman, I can't drink nearly as much, so I try too hard. It was either ** or ****, but I guess I'll have to compromise and say ***. (85 87 81)

(For some reason I doubt this is over. Check back for updates soon!)

From The Inside

By J.B.

From NWATNA.Com

Hello everyone from Nashvile, and after a big week here in TNA, I'm happy to say things couldn't be better. The transition to the Voice's booking style was smooth as silk, and many of the fans and wrestlers alike were praising it this week.

First off let me say that Paul London and CM Punk, who were both in the X-Division match this past week, are two future stars in this company. In fact CM Punk has a X-Divison title shot this week against Michael Shane. Will the Gathering be able to keep Shane's Franchise teammates away? Find out this Wednesday night!

Speaking of the Gathering, Alexis Laree is said to be happy to be back after a short trip up north. Everyone backstage was glad to see her back as well.

AJ Styles was not in attendance at the Asylum last week, but he will be back this Wednesday, and he has said he has several things on his mind, not the least of which is Jeff Jarrett.

Jay and Mark Briscoe came up just short in their (re)debut this week. They have a shot for redemption this week against the returning SAT!

TNA is in talks with several international talents, many of which would be perfect for the X-Division. Our open door policy is really going to kick in soon, particularly in this area.

Also annouced for Wednesday is Paul London verses Red and Simion Diamond and Swinger against the Three Live Kru.

Till next week,

See ya on the inside....

Good stuff!

My World Wrestling Entertainment group was just checking to make sure you weren't using our superstar.

However, after close checking...we forgot to even sign London to a contract! We DID however, renew Mark Henry's deal! Yay!

Keep it up. Check out my shit if you get a chance...I'll keep doin' the same here.

NWATNA for 1/14/04

By the Dames

Paul London vs Amazing Red.

Match Background: None.

The Match: Dropkick connects to the BUTT of the jaw and Red goes down. Standing leg lariat by Paul London on Red. Hard back suplex on Red. Come to think of it, that move had WAY too much power in No Mercy for N64. THERE IT IS! A legdrop to the BACK OF THE HEAD! I swear, that makes any match just a little bit better. I don't mind telling you that every time I see it, that's for sure. Red blocks a kick from Paul London. Red uses a basement dropkick to the knee and it looks like it might be TIME TO GO TO SCHOOL~! Spinning bulldog in the corner and London is down! Covers for a quick two count. Amazing Red misses a clothesline. Red takes a NICE hurrancarana from Paul London. There's a two count on the pin. Springboard dropkick from Paul London. Nicely done. Hooks the leg! ONE...TWO...NO! Amazing Red pulls a mule kick out of nowhere. STIFF high kick on London by Amazing Red. Red charges into the corner but EATS BOOT. THERE IT IS! A legdrop to the BACK OF THE HEAD! I swear, that makes any match just a little bit better. I don't mind telling you that every time I see it, that's for sure. Amazing Red gets knocked to the ground by London, who is already climbing the turnbuckle. Off the top - London Calling, forget about it. 1....2...3! Paul London offers a handshake to Red...and he accepts it!

My Opinion: This match gets two stars from me. Nothing more, nothing less. **

(A hot match to open the show and an impressive showing for London. Red also looks to be in top form. If Michael Shane can keep that title tonight, he has lots of people gunning for him.)

Mike Tenay and Don West are your host and they begin to run down the card when AJ STYLES music hits! The Crowd goes nuts! He hits the ring and grabs a mic!

AJ: Well well well, look whos back... ME! That's right Jarrett, you can't keep me away. I'm here to get my belt back. Ya see, I think I've figured you out Jeff. You know you can't beet me straight up. You know I guess you were right, I'm not on your level.

Mike: What?

AJ: I'm above your level! (Crowd goes nutso) I'm so far above your level you fear me. You fear what I can do! That's why you can't take me on one on one. Thats why you have to send Abyss, or Kid Kash or whoever else you can bribe. The fact of the matter is you can't handle me, so you need some flunky to try to beat me for you!

(AJ is innterupted by Kid Kashes music)

Kash gets in the ring and grabs a mic.

KK: AJ, I am no mans flunky.

AJ: Yea, right.

KK: Shut up and listen to a man talking kid. You need to learn that you aren't the cream of the crop here in TNA. That title belongs to me.

AJ: Excuse me, but who was the first X division Champ? Who was the first Multi-time X champ? Who was the first Tripple Crown Champ? ME! You are nothing but Jeff Jarrett's bootlick!

KK: You pice of.... (gets in AJ's face)

AJ: Do it. Do it! I dare ya....

KK: Later. We'll do this tonight.

AJ: Fine by me.....

Kash leaves and Tenay and West Hype the card.

My Two Cents: This was basically a set up for the match later and to show that AJ isn't going anywhere. Hopefully this will help Kash get more over if this is a long term thing, if not, it should be a good match.

Briscoe Boys vs SAT.

Match Background: None.

The Match: STIFF high kick on Jose by Mark Briscoe. THERE IT IS! A legdrop to the BACK OF THE HEAD! I swear, that makes any match just a little bit better. I don't mind telling you that every time I see it, that's for sure. Covers for a quick two count. Tag to Jay Briscoe. Briscoe Boys hook up Jose, then hit a double suplex. Covers for a quick two count. Jay Briscoe hits a rolling kick on Jose. Konnan has ruined any chance for me ever enjoying this maneuver again with his shitty execution of it. Jose kicks Jay Briscoe in the gut to reverse the momentum. Super kick by Jose Maximo. There's a two count on the pin. Tag between Jose Maximo and Joel Maximo. Joel crushes J.Briscoe with a huge legdrop. Pin, but J.Briscoe is out just before the three count. Flying elbow from Joel Maximo connects. J.Briscoe reverses a Joel Maximo hammerlock. Hard back suplex on Joel. Come to think of it, that move had WAY too much power in No Mercy for N64. Tag between Jay Briscoe and Mark Briscoe. Mark Briscoe connects with a back heel kick on Joel and gets back up quickly. Joel tags out to Jose Maximo. M.Briscoe hits a dropkick on Jose Maximo and gets right back up. Jose Maximo is all alone...Back Suplex Neckbreaker!! 1....2....3!

My Opinion: A badly blown spot prevents me from giving out more snowflakes. ***3/4

(Tag division, tag division tag division. The NEW TNA is going to be chock full of great teams. Hopefully it will only get better)

Jeff Jarrett is out for the useual gab session. "I beat Styles, I beat Raven..." you know the drill. Then Raven's music hits and he come FLYING down the isle! He hits the ring and UNLOADS~! with the jabs! JJ slides out of the ring but Raven is after him! Crowd is Ravenous! Pun intended. They fight up the ramp but Raven throws him off onto the rail! He follows him down, raining down blows! JJ is busted open! Red shirts come down to break it up! And que the Gathering! We have a standoff on the ramp! We cut to the X-Factors for the Tag title match....

My Two Cents: Well it's official, Raven and Jarrett are feuding. This segment was HOT! The crowd was eating it up wiht a silver spoon. This could be money folks...

Swinger and Diamond vs Getting Rowdy.

Match Background: This match is for the NWA Tag Team titles.

The Match: Weak bodyslam by James. Diamond tags out to Swinger. B.G. James strikes Swinger with a hard blow. James tags out to Ron Killings. Spear by Ron Killings. Tag to Simon Diamond. Ron Killings hits a bulldog off the ropes. Powerbomb on Diamond. Glenn Gilberti has climbed up onto the apron! The Truth turns...and falls for the distraction! Simon Diamond runs at The Truth from behind...but misses! Simon Diamond collides with Glenn Gilberti! Simon Diamond is in trouble. True Conviction! 1....2....3. Swinger and Diamond remain in the ring. Simon Diamond does not look happy at losing. Swinger goes to leave, but gets pulled back in by Diamond. Tensions seem to be rising between these two.

My Opinion: These guys worked SO HARD...for a ** rating. Something went wrong somewhere, didn't it?

(Simon has a problem. He's raving at Glenn as they head up the ramp. Has GG just blown their only shot?)

CM Punk vs Michael Shane.

Match Background: Punk and Shane are currently feuding. Neither has managed to get an in-ring victory in this feud. This match is for the NWA X title.

The Match: CM Punk hits a rolling kick on Shane. Konnan has ruined any chance for me ever enjoying this maneuver again with his shitty execution of it. Flying cross body off the top rope! There's a two count on the pin. Shane counters a backdrop attempt with a kick to the face and hit a clothesline! Shane hits a HARD spinning kick to the jaw. Spin kick by Michael Shane to the face sends the opponent FLYING across the ring. There's a two count on the pin. Diamond Dust from Michael Shane and Punk is out! Pinfall attempt: ONE...TWO...NO! I would have bought that as the finish! Spin kick by Michael Shane to the face sends the opponent FLYING across the ring. Michael Shane misses a clothesline. Flying cross body off the top rope! There's a two count on the pin. Power drive elbow by CM Punk. That sounds like a feature on a 4 x 4, doesn't it. Cover, ONE...TWO...NO! I honestly thought that match was going to end right then and there. Flying elbow from CM Punk connects. CM Punk kicks the leg, knocks Shane down, and goes to work on it. Shane kicks CM Punk in the gut to reverse the momentum. Punk takes a flying neckbreaker from Michael Shane. Back heel kick off the second rope, Punk goes down. Shane Douglas comes running down the aisle with a chair! Shane and CM Punk continue fighting, unaware of the intrusion. Shane Douglas slides in and blasts CM Punk with a chair to the head! Douglas climbs out of the ring, the damage done! Michael Shane has CM Punk down on the canvas and is ascending the corner. Picture Perfect Elbow!!! 1....2....3!! It's all over. Shane and Douglas are putting the boots to CM Punk! Julio Dinero comes running down the aisle with a chair! He slides in, sending Shane \ Douglas running for cover. Julio Dinero saved Punk from a major beating.

My Opinion: Nothing offensive, but nothing too special either. **1\2 rating.

(At least it wasn't a roll up. Punk is pissed in the ring. Julio is trying to calm him down to no avail. Punk will defenately have something to say. Check NWATNA dot com for the new Gathering page for his comments later in the week)

Glenn Gilberti is in the back with Scot Hudson and Simon and Swinger walk in.

Simon: What the Hell were you doing?

Glenn: Listen,

Simon: NO you listen! We are done with you Glenn! We don't need you to talk for us, we sure as hell don't' need you to wrestle for us, we are DONE!

Glenn: What are you saying guys?

Simon, Swinger and Hudson: You're Fired!

My Two Cents: Finally! Simon and Swinger haven't needed Gilberti from the start! Hopefully now they can run the Tag Divison as they are so capeable of doing...

AJ Styles vs Kid Kash.

Match Background: None.

The Match: Spinning back kick from AJ Styles. STIFF high kick on Kash by AJ Styles. Hard back suplex on Kash. Come to think of it, that move had WAY too much power in No Mercy for N64. Spin kick by AJ Styles to the face sends the opponent FLYING across the ring. AJ Styles misses a clothesline. THERE IT IS! A legdrop to the BACK OF THE HEAD! I swear, that makes any match just a little bit better. I don't mind telling you that every time I see it, that's for sure. Lightning kick by Kash on Styles. Hooks the leg for a two count. Styles reverses a Kid Kash hammerlock. Flying reverse elbow by AJ Styles. There's a two count on the pin. Back heel kick off the second rope, Kash goes down. Pin, but Kash is out just before the three count. Kash reverses a waistlock. Kash hits a HARD spinning kick to the jaw. Styles reverses a Kid Kash hammerlock. Flying elbow from AJ Styles connects. Kid Kash can barely stand. Styles Clash! 1....2....3. AJ Styles is still in the ring celebrating. Kid Kash pushes the referee away. Kid Kash spins Styles around. Kid Kash hits the Cha Ching!

My Opinion: Ohh, looky. A **3/4 match!

(Disapointing match. Perhaps we'll hold off on the Kash push. Well, now we need something for AJ to do. Any suggestions? That's it for this week. Friday J.B. will be from the Inside and Sometime this week Punk's thoughts will be posted.[Just a way for me to write more storyline and promos] )

From the Inside With J. B. for 1/16/04

Hello and Greetings from Nashville, as another great week here at TNA is capped off for you by the Best Column in the world!

First off the Backstage area was buzzing Wednesday. The talent are all very excited about the new management, particularly the ones signed to new, long term contracts.

AJ Styles returned to the Asylum this past week, and the crowd was electric. AJ is dead set on regaining the World Title, but with Raven currently locked in battle with Champ Jeff Jarrett, does this leave AJ out in the cold?

After the Show this past week several of us went to a local hotspot for some fun. The highlight of the evening was undoubtedly the dueling bar dances between Jimmy Rave and Michael Shane, along with Ravens hilarious commentary. Words cannot do it justice.

Speaking of Shane, the winner of next weeks Christopher Daniels versus Low-Ki match will get a shot at Shane's X title.

We are Proud to Launch the first of TNA's unique webpages, TheGathering.NWATNA.com, where you can read Julio, Alexis, or CM Punks own weblogs.

Well, that's it for now, see ya Wednesday!

J.B.

Punk's Journal

From TheGathering.nwatna.com

Mike Shane does not deserve to be X champion. There, it's plain and simple. There is absolutely no way he would have beaten me if Douglas hadn't interfeared. You are nothing Shane. You don't have an ounce of innovation in you, which is why you don't belong in the X-Division.

Sooner or later I'll get another title shot, and when that happens you better be ready. I will not fail again. I sugest giving up all the drugs and booze, because you are going to need every facility you posess to be clear. I am coming for you Shane, you better be ready. As the Boss would say, "I think you hear me knocking, I think I'm coming in."

In other news, Alexis is back. It's great to have her back, she makes the group feel whole again. No offense to Julio, but he isn't the greatest looking person to hang out with.

Speaking of Julio, we had an autograph signing at a local Best Buy recently. He got so exited when he heard he was on the TNA DVD's he totaly lost it and freaked some Kid out. Alexis also is much better at public appearences, although more pervs end up comeing out to see her, although Julio gets his share too. I'm kidding.

Well, I have a flight to catch, so this is all for now.

XxX Punk XxX

(Still trying to get this whole promo/angle writing style down, so bear with me, they will improve. Many more "Websites" will be launced soon, so stay tooned.)

Has anyone's face ever really been crushed by one though? ONE...TWO...THREE. Sabin defeats Rave. Shark Boy connects with a back heel kick on Sabin and gets back up quickly. Sabin takes a flying neckbreaker from Shark Boy. Covers for a quick two count. Flying cross body off the top rope! Cover, ONE...TWO...NO! I honestly thought that match was going to end right then and there. Sabin reverses a Shark Boy hammerlock. Tor-NADO DDT from Chris Sabin, Sharky got planted! Tag between Chris Sabin and CM Punk. DDT from the top rope by CM Punk. That looked KILLER. ONE...TWO...THREE. Punk defeats Sharky. Spinning back kick from CM Punk. Sabin blocks a punch. Flying reverse elbow by Chris Sabin. Pinfall attempt: ONE...TWO...NO! I would have bought that as the finish! CM Punk comes up with a right hand out of nowhere. Hard impact Russian Leg Sweep by Punk. According to some other reviewers around here, 'legsweep' is one word. CM Punk floors Chris Sabin. Devil Lock!!! Chris Sabin taps out!

My Opinion: A wise man once said 'Can I get a side of bland with that bland'. He's dead now, though. That's what this match was...bland. **

(Punk's Hot streak continues. He's going to have to wait for his reamatch with Michael Shane though, because the winner of the match between the Fallen Angel and Low-Ki gets the coveted X-Title shot.)

Jeff Jarrett comes to the ring, AGAIN, and gets on the mic. Before he can say two sentences Raven's music hits to a MEGA POP!

JJ: What do you want, you degenerate pice of filth?

Raven: I want a title shot.

JJ: You had your shot, boy.

Raven: Yes, I did, and like the coward you are you flaked out and had someone run in...

JJ: I am NO COWARD!

Raven: Whatever, I want another shot.

JJ: No. You don't deserve one.

Then, Erik Watts makes his way down to the ring, to a minamal pop, I must add.

Erik: Well well well.... Looks like JJJ is getting cold feet. Now Jeff, I think these fans want to see a rematch.

JJ: Do you think I care what these idiots want?

Erik: Well, seeing how I am the DoA around here, I feel inclined to make that match!

JJ: You know what Erik, fine. We'll have the match. But on MY terms. Non title.

Erik: I don't know.... (Raven whispers to him) How bout non-title and if Raven here wins he gets a title shot.

JJ: Fine. But he wont win....

My Two Cents: Well, that sets up our main. Probably Raven getting screwed again. JJ even got a bigger pop than Watts. That's sad....

Low Ki vs Christopher Daniels.

Match Background: Daniels and Low Ki have been feuding recently. Low Ki has yet to get an in-ring victory in this feud. Winner of this match gets an X-Division Title Shot.

The Match: Low Ki slams Christopher Daniels. Low Ki strikes Daniels. Bodyslam by Low Ki. Low Ki drives a thrust kick into the chest of Daniels. Low Ki gets taken down out of nowhere! Christopher Daniels hits a rolling kick on Low Ki. Konnan has ruined any chance for me ever enjoying this maneuver again with his shitty execution of it. Spinning bulldog in the corner and Low Ki is down! Covers for a quick two count. Christopher Daniels gets taken down out of nowhere! Tiger bomb by Low Ki, which is nowhere near as cool as a botched Pedigree but gets the job done. There's a two count on the pin. Wicked suplex out of the corner from Low Ki, is executed so well, it hurt MY back. Cover, ONE...TWO...NO! I honestly thought that match was going to end right then and there. Daniels blocks a punch. Dropkick connects to the BUTT of the jaw and Low Ki goes down. Low Ki reverses a Christopher Daniels hammerlock. A Gut buster connects on Daniels and hits hard. Low Ki floors Christopher Daniels. Dragon Clutch!!! Christopher Daniels taps out! Low Ki is still in the ring celebrating. Christopher Daniels pushes the referee away. Christopher Daniels spins Low Ki around. Christopher Daniels hits the Last Rites!

My Opinion: As close to a ***** match as possible...but unfortunately, it was missing something, so I can only give it ****3/4

(An Early MoTYC. Can you believe it? I can. We have big plans for both of these guys.)

AJ Styles is in the back with Scot Hudson.

AJ: Great, once again someone else gets my title shot.

Aj's ramblings are cut short by Don Callis walking up with Kid Kash and Abyss.

Callis: AJ, AJ, I told you, bad things will happen to those who cross the Management. And I'm afraid things won't be getting any better for you. You see tonight you have a tag team match against Kid Kash and Abyss. So you need to find a partner, partner.

AJ: Don't worry, I'll find a partner.

Callis: Sure you will AJ. You better hurry up, as you're on in about half an hour or so....

(Callis smiles smugly as AJ walks off.)

My Two Cents: Well, this should prove interesting. Maybe a return of D-Lo or Jerry Lynn? Frankly I don't quite see where this storyline is going, but it may surprise me.

America's Most Wanted vs Briscoe Boys vs Swinger and Diamond vs SAT.

Match Background: This will be an elimination bout.

The Match: Wildcat walks into a high dropkick from Joel Maximo, almost losing several teeth in the process. Hard back suplex on Wildcat. Come to think of it, that move had WAY too much power in No Mercy for N64. Tag between Joel Maximo and Jose Maximo. Dropkick connects to the BUTT of the jaw and Wildcat goes down. There's a two count on the pin. Wildcat reverses a waistlock. Tag between Chris Harris and Simon Diamond. Jose Maximo takes a butterfly suplex from Diamond. Jose walks into a jaw breaker. Tag to Swinger. Swinger and Diamond whip Jose into the ropes and hit a double clothesline. There's a two count on the pin. Swinger charges into the corner but EATS BOOT. Jose Maximo strikes M.Briscoe. M.Briscoe reverses a waistlock. SUPER frankensteiner on Jose, who hit hard and is loopy as a result. Cover gets three for Mark Briscoe, Jose got pinned. Trying to channel the spirit of Misawa, James Storm ends up chanelling Lex Luger instead and nails a running forearm to the face, minus the steel plate, of course. James Storm scores with a big spinebuster. Pinfall attempt: ONE...TWO...NO! Tag to Simon Diamond. Big dropkick by Simon Diamond, who got a ton of air on the move. Tag to Chris Harris. Massive backbreaker on M.Briscoe and I get happy flashbacks to Bret Hart's Five Moves of DOOM. Massive lariat! Stan Hansen would approve. Cover gets three for Chris Harris, M.Briscoe got pinned. DDT from the top rope by Swinger. That looked KILLER. Pinfall attempt: ONE...TWO...NO! I would have bought that as the finish! Swinger hits a rolling kick on Wildcat. Konnan has ruined any chance for me ever enjoying this maneuver again with his shitty execution of it. Chris Harris once again takes the advantage after blocking a few punches and connecting with some forearms. Wildcat slams Swinger down and motions to the crowd. There's a two count on the pin. Wildcat tags out to James Storm. America's Most Wanted whip Swinger into the ropes and hit a double backdrop. Pinfall attempt: ONE...TWO...NO! Bodyslam by Storm. Storm walks into a drop toe hold. Tag to Simon Diamond. Spear by Simon Diamond. Storm gets hit with SPLASH MOUNTAIN~! out of the corner! Chris Harris is in trouble. Here it comes - Simoniser. 1....2...3, it's finished.

My Opinion: This match gets two stars from me. Nothing more, nothing less. **

(Simon and Swinger earn another Tag Title shot next week. Can they win it wihthout Gilberti? We will see...)

Micheal Shane, Shane Douglas and Traci(!!!) are backstage.

Douglas: Mikey, my lad, you have a problem. This CJ Punk guy,

Traci: CM Punk. C M.

Douglas: Whatever. Anyways people like this guy are nuts. This guy follows Raven willingly! He isn't gonna stop untill he gets you in this ring. You gotta stop this.

Shane: Relax. I have this guy. He can go on the net all he wants, but he knows he can't take me. Besides, I am The X champion.

Traci: Don't take this guy lightly Shane.

Shane: Relax Traci, If this dolt wants some, he can come get some....

My Two Cents: Just a promo to set up Punks eventuall rematch. How does Ki's just won title shot affect this though?

Kid Kash and Abyss come down to the ring for their match. AJ comes out and Announces Paul London~! as his partner!

AJ Styles and Paul London vs Abyss and Kid Kash.

Match Background: None.

The Match: BAAACK Body drop by London gets a bit of a pop from the crowd. London counters a sleeper with a jaw breaker and is able to get free! Second rope flying axe handle, Abyss goes down. One day, London might even consider coming off the top with that. You know...for more impact and stuff. London tags out to AJ Styles. Hard back suplex on Abyss. Come to think of it, that move had WAY too much power in No Mercy for N64. Flying elbow from AJ Styles connects. Abyss reverses a hip toss. BIG clothesline on Styles. Abyss tags out to Kid Kash. Dropkick connects to the BUTT of the jaw and Styles goes down. Kid Kash hits a rolling kick on Styles. Konnan has ruined any chance for me ever enjoying this maneuver again with his shitty execution of it. Styles blocks a punch. Hard back suplex on Kash. Come to think of it, that move had WAY too much power in No Mercy for N64. Styles tags out to Paul London. Vicious kick to the teeth from Paul London. Cover, ONE...TWO...NO! I honestly thought that match was going to end right then and there. Kash takes a flying neckbreaker from Paul London. Kid Kash gets knocked to the ground by London, who is already climbing the turnbuckle. London Calling!!! 1....2....3!! It's all over. Kash \ Abyss don't look like they're finished by any means...and they rush forward to attack London \ Styles, and send them to the outside. Threats are exchanged as the chaos ends.

My Opinion: Ohh, looky. A **3/4 match!

(I signed Lodon to a written contract, so I;ll use him codsarnit! Maybe I'll team up AJ and Paul, i don't know right now.)

Raven vs Jeff Jarrett.

Match Background: Raven and Jarrett have been feuding recently. Jarrett has yet to get an in-ring victory in this feud. Jeff Jarrett is the reigning NWA World champion.

The Match: Raven hits some punches. How generic. Raven hits a right hand. Fallaway slam by Raven puts down Jeff Jarrett. BIG clothesline on Jarrett. Jeff Jarrett powers out of a Raven headlock. Jarrett slams Raven down and motions to the crowd. Raven walks into a side slam. Think about how much talent it takes to side slam someone. Nash can do it. There's a two count on the pin. Raven pulls a mule kick out of nowhere. Full nelson slam on Jarrett. Hooks the leg for a two count. Raven scores with a standing spinebuster. Cover, ONE...TWO...NO! I honestly thought that match was going to end right then and there. Raven walks into a drop toe hold. Jeff Jarrett connects with rights and lefts and Raven is down! Raven is able to duck a clothesline attempt and connect with a counter clothesline. Raven with a spinning neckbreaker on Jarrett. Jeff Jarrett can barely stand. Raven Effect DDT!!! That shook the ring. 1....2....3!! Jeff Jarrett slides to the outside and grabs a chair, then climbs back into the ring. Raven turns around...and gets planted with a huge chair shot to the head! He is left down and out on the canvas.

My Opinion: I'll give this a ***1\4 rating. If I left it up to you, you'd probably think it was the greatest match ever! Keep trying..

(Well, Raven get's his shot sometime in the future then. Maybe we'll know when exactly by next week. A solid show all around, with a MoTYC and hard work all around. See ya next week ya'll!)

yeah I'm thinking the angles are coming off really well, and the interviews could use a just a little work but are still really good. I'm liking the X-Division stuff alot, and it's good that your adding some teams to TNA's tag division

From the inside for 1.23.04

By good ol' J. B.

Greetings from under the Kermit the Frog Haircut from Nashville TN! After an Action packed night this past Wednesday I'm just now recovering. Raven Jarrett and Low-Ki against Christopher Daniels were two of the best matches we've put on in a while, and Ki v Daniels is earning MoTYC praise from several sources.

This week C. M. Punk is going to have to wait for his title shot, but he will be facing Shane Douglas, Michael Shanes mentor and stablemate. Douglas want's to "nip this problem in the bud." Can he succeed?

Simon Diamond and Swinger get another shot at the tag titles this week, earned this time, and hope to capitalize for their second reign as NWA Tag Champs. They take on the 3LK of B.G. James and Ron the Truth Killings. Should be a great match without Disco, I mean Gilberti to screw it up.

Christopher Daniels isn't happy about being left out of the X title picture, and was even more upset when he was told he would be facing a "nobody" like Jimmy Rave this week. Rave wasn't happy about the disrespect. This could be Rave's breakout match.

Speaking of Breakout performances, Paul London got a taste of the Main event level spotlight this week. He and AJ have loads of Chemistry, and if they ever decide to team up again they could run the Tag Division in TNA.

Raven scored a big win over JJ this week, and earned himself another world Title shot. We don't know when, but we do know TNA rep Don Callis and NWA DoA Erik Watts must agree on the date.

Well, that is all for this week! See you all on Wednesday!

J. B.

A: No, of course not. Dusty is a legend in this industry. (TLFV looks at him from across the hall sternly) Okay, once or twice... (Still looking) a night.
