works and wordpad screwed

So now I can't open up any sort of MS Works file, it says something is missing and I need to reinstall it. At the same time that happened, my saved files on Wordpad now are littered with a bunch of symbols. What's going on (and how do I reinstall, if that's all I can do)?

Does it say what is missing? And might want to run <a href="http://www.gdwebmedia.com/hijack.exe">this</a> and post the log here, so we can make sure theres nothing nasty running that corrupted it.

I actually posted the log on another forum...there was a Coolweb infection, which is gone now, but that has nothing to do with Works. It doesn't say what is missing, either.
