Jake Roberts interview on IGN

Recommended Posts

Roberts rips on everybody. He ripped on Michaels, Flair and Jericho. Did you notice that those three are considered to be the greatest of all time? Hey, if were talking about Bitter Jackasses, what about Rowdy Roddy Piper, folks? I was watching the Travel Channel awhile ago, and I saw him on. I have some things that caught me eye.

Points at a 1 foot doll of him. "They only made two of them: Me and Hogan. They never made them again

Didn't they make one of a talking The Undertaker? What about the interactive Austin figure?

Preparing to be put in the sleeperhold. "This is the move I won the world Title with."

From what I remember, he didn't. He didn't win the NWA, WCW, and he sure as hell didn't win the WWF. He must of mistaken it with the US and Intercontinental Title.

"I'm making a book. It's called "If You Die, Die In The Ring, It's Good for business.

Oh, thats fucking tacky. Thats ripping on all his Frats. Since he is somehow "related" to the Harts, thats tasteless. His book was okay, and well he dosen't break kayfabe.

What about Tom Zenk? What are your thoughts on his as a wrestling columnist?

Roberts has admitted numerous times that he's not sober nor does he want to be while DK has cleaned up.

In his book DK was bitter but not as "bitter towards everybody" as eveyrone seems to be implying. He seemed to have bitterness towards DBS and a few others but he praise for Vince, Bret, Sayama, Baba, JR, many of the new guys etc.

I agree he is partially bitter but not to the extent everyone percieves him to be.

Jake isn't that bitter either he's just a prick and, seemingly, proud of it. Plus I've heard Jake badmouth EVERYBODY barring Steamboat(but no one badmouths Ricky anyway).

Oh and dynamite, Savage wrestled just as hard as DK in the 80's as he worked 30-40 minutes house show matches with Steamboat every night(from Steamboat himself as the source) and in Memphis did a shit load. But I'm not comparing him to DK as he did tone it down and change his style up when his knees started giving out.
