Working for WCW does that too you. Especially a 14 month "just sit on your ass doing nothing" booking plan that should have killed their major storlyine finally, but fucked it up and dragged it on for a year longer.

And WHY was he on the shelves for 14 months initially? Because he hit his required number of dates to work and was going to hold up WCW for big money to work ANY further matches.

And, that got him as over as anything in his career.

The guy pretty much stayed retired longer than most people, even though he never said I'm done for good. WWA came knocking for him to be in a european tour. Then another. Then NWA:TNA brought him in a few times.

He's wrestled about 10 matches in 3 years. The guy just doesn't wanna be on the road anymore.

The guy sucked eggs LONG before his "retirement". Try and re-watch his matches with Hogan. Or Vampiro and Muta.

Painful ordeals.

First, I think he was suppose to be brought back like 5-6 months later, but it was always pushed back because nWo was too over.

I agreed, after that, he just didn't have it anymore. Maybe he was unmotivated, his opponents, or age was catching up to him.

I still mark out for him though. I don't abandon my favorite wrestlers because of their work rate.

I'm a HOGAN fan for Gods sake!

I don't maintain a lot of loyalty to workers. After all, they don't give a damn about me --- why should I fret about their futures?

STING vs HBK

In a Ladder match where they must grab a Hanging bible to win.

the loser of course goes to Hell

Even HBK couldn't drag a good match out of Sting.

Of course not. Both men are over the hill and I don't think Sting even worked a ladder match before.

HBK is over the hill preaching at God.

Sting is over the hill preaching to God while kicking Jeff Jarretts ass on TNA every other month.
