USC Wuz Robbed!

BCS still screwing teams off in video games

Recommended Posts

I pretty much just pass it to everyone, whether its my star receiver, the benchwarming receiver, the RB, the FB, the TE... whoever is on the field and in the same uni as me is fair game for me. Maybe that's why I win so much... so to recap... for a score that ridiculously high, Passes+No-Huddle+Onside Kicks= Triple Digit Blowouts

I have pretty realistic blowouts thanks to my run-heavy gameplans. I murdered poor Wake Forest 66-3 once. Like I said, a score you can actually imagine seeing in real life.

Well, for those of you who like to throw realism out the window in your NCAA Football, here's one for you...

I got rochambeau'd by my buddy, who beat me a little while ago using an absolutely ridiculous play. Put your fastest player in at quarterback. Run a Hail Mary play. Then, use the QB to sneak around the end.

It is virtually impossible to defend because the receivers take everybody 30 yards downfield before the AI realizes it's a run. Try to contain him on one side, he goes to the other. I even tried the "blitz all" goal line play, but watched as his RB floated a pass to a wide-open wide receiver before getting destroyed.

One of the most ridiculous plays I've ever seen. He should've been ashamed of himself.

Hmmm......I used to not be good at football games. I mean I got shut out as OU against Texas. Something's wrong there........

But then I was shopping at Babbage's and they were like "It's buy 2 get 1 free!" So I had to find a game that was less than 6 dollars. I found Sega NFL 2K2. I bought it and I'm getting pretty good. I beat Washington as Philly 62-6.

Methinks I should try this game again.

Question...on the NCAA games made by Sega...do they put the winner of the Heisman on the cover?

I'm pretty sure it is just whoever they can sign. Carson Palmer won last year's Heisman and he was on this year's EA game cover. I'll be curious to see who goes on the cover of EA's NCAA 2005 because Jason White will still be at Oklahoma.

I've found 2004 to be harder to run against so I generally average about 76 yards a game and most of that is using the FB to bash it in on goal line situtations.

Yet... easier for me to pass against. Poor...poor Toledo.

Currently ranked #2 in the nation as Penn State on my second season in my new Dynasty. Took them from being the 50th ranked team to #3 but lost out in the BCS and beat WSU in the Rose Bowl. Pre-Season #2. Had a good game against #11 Auburn so I am ranked #2 in the Coaches Poll and #1 by the media. Destroyed the afor-mentioned Toledo 51-3 but didn't really help me much.

I play the Madden series and I try to make the difficulty settings/gameplay/stats as realistic as possible -- I may lose, but the game is entertaining.

But to each is own -- I stopped counting how many times I have beaten Gauntlet Dark Legacy and Diablo II...

Fuck that noise. I want to taste my opponents blood, and feel his cries of agony, has I destroy their souls in an orgy of pain.
