Hollywod Homicide

How come Hollywood Homicide gets shit on by so many people? I'll admit, it's not the best movie, but I certainly didn't find it as awful as people claim.

 

I'll admit, I'm probably somewhat blinded in the fact that I'm a bit of a sucker for Harrison Ford. I actually have liked every single movie he's ever done, and often joke that he's the only actor I've seen who hasn't done a bad movie. I still feel that way ::waits for a list of people's bad Ford movies.::

 

What exactly was so bad?

I don't know I found it enjoyable enough. Nothing I'd watch more than once but it was decent.

You even liked 6 Days 7 Nights (or whatever it was, sometimes I mix the numbers up)? That was terrible.

 

Hollywood Homicide, on the other hand... I saw it on an airplane, I wasn't paying as much attention as I could have, but it wasn't too bad. Kinda reminded me of the kind of movie they'd make in the 80s, which is a good thing.

Too many plot points that I could give a damn about and the acting was kind of weak. Mostly, it just felt poorly edited and the script was dreaful.

 

The action was fun and occassionally it had some funny moments, but it just felt like they made three movies at once and slammed them all into one mess.

 

I blame the director and the poor acting of Josh Harnett. Harrison really looked like he wanted to either ham it up or cry halfway through the film.

 

It could have been worse though.

I didn't see anything wrong with it. I think what threw people off is the fact that it part Comedy.

 

Maybe it's just me, but I thought that Harnett and Ford work well together.

I honestly did. Not Great, but I'd watch it again
