Alright this is gonna start to piss me off

K I have had Zoo Tycoon for the last 2 weeks but haven't been able to play it. Why? Cuz I have to download Direct X. I downloaded and installed DX 8.0 R or something like that and it said it didn't transfer all the files or some shit like that. So my friend told me to download DX 9.0 B which I guess is the intire version. When installing it, I get to the part where I have to unzip all the files which I do, it says that all the files are done then it stops. I dont know what the hell to do next. So if anyone wants to help me I'd appreciate it. Im a total moron when it comes to this kind of stuff. Thanks guys.
