Guest Ghettoman Report post Posted December 30, 2003 And they say only Vince is in the Sports Entertainment business..... When rape trials and potential overshadows one of the greatest sports games of all time, it's time to really sit back and take a look at just where the fuck the sports world is. Guest Anglesault Report post Posted December 30, 2003 I agree with you, but I can see the rape trial being there, but I do agree with you
Guest Anglesault Report post Posted December 31, 2003 I actually agree. I thought the game should've been above LeBron. Especially when you consider the fallout. Yankees win once again, Grady Little gets canned for one move, etc. Its the forerunner for this offseason's arms race. Even if it hadn't had such a fall out, that was the greatest baseball game many of their viewers have ever seen, certainly the greatest game in my lifetime and absolutely themost exciting game in any sport this year and it was over shadowed by a DRAFT PICK? treble 0 Report post Posted December 31, 2003 Cubs bring some event from 1945 as a reason why they haven't won since 08? The fuck? I think the 'curse' was that the Cubs would never play in another World Series game again and they haven't since then.

So if the Cubs make the World Seris but get destoyed four straight games is the curse broken? Do people celebrate?

The draft pick itself wasn't the No. 2 story. It was LeBron's entire year: He was the reason for and showcase of the first-ever nationally-broadcast HS b-ball game, he had the Hummer controversey, the jersey controversey, the suspension, the national No. 1 ranking for himself and his team, THEN he got drafted, THEN he went on to be maybe one of the best rookies ever, plus he's Nike's star attraction. It's not like all he did was get drafted.

Oh well, what can you do. I do hope that his rookie year totally goes to shit between now and the end of the season. Just because I'm a spiteful bastard. EVIL~! alkeiper 0 Report post Posted December 31, 2003 Nothing ever came about the Hummer controversey, and as far as I know there was no wrongdoing. James' mother could've easily gotten a loan for the vehicle, using James' future earning potential as collateral. And the jersey controversey was a $400 jersey. Its not like he's public enemy #1 here.
Guest Redhawk Report post Posted January 3, 2004 No one said he was. But I think the ESPN 100 was simply who/what made the most news this year. And almost everything LeBron did made news.
