Kurt Angle Mark 0 Report post Posted December 30, 2003 Raw did a 3.7 rating last night, which has to be considered a huge disappointment with no NFL competition. credit: Dave Meltzer
Guest Dave O'Neill, Journalist Report post Posted December 30, 2003 Blame it on HBK then. Better yet, since the whole show was built around him - blame it on Austin
Tawren 0 Report post Posted December 30, 2003 Isn't that around what they usually get? Isn't that a good number? Isn't that better than a few months ago? Seriously, I'm asking. I don't really follow ratings.

2GOLD 0 Report post Posted December 30, 2003 Isn't that around what they usually get? Isn't that a good number? Isn't that better than a few months ago? Seriously, I'm asking. I don't really follow ratings. I think it's up at least .2 or .3 What the hell did they expect? Most people probably didn't know RAW was even on. But clearly, this is all RVD and HBK's fault. Couldn't be the crappy match selection leading up to the main event. Or the fact the last live RAW you had you screwed your fans over. Or the fact you had a BEST OF last week with parts chopped out of the matches. Or the fact RAW has royally sucked this year and you gave the belt back to Triple H No, that couldn't be it. Guest Anglesault Report post Posted December 30, 2003 Suckbag opening BOTH hours had to lose a couple million viewers.
RavishingRickRudo 0 Report post Posted December 30, 2003 The avg RAW rating, for the most part, is considered to be 3.8 with a +/- 0.2 - this is in that range. However, for the big, epic, world title match, not to mention following the 'big' cliffhanger, as well as the fate of Steve Austin, getting an "average" rating should be considered disappointing. Guest Goodear Report post Posted December 30, 2003 It's the usual ratings bull shit you don't have to pay any attention to... nothing is going to just shoot the show up to 5s or drop it like a rock to a 3. Its all about trends over the period of months and so this 'OMG dissapointment' stuff is just the usual claptrap of a whole lot of nothing.
RavishingRickRudo 0 Report post Posted December 30, 2003 I dunno about that, they had *3* major angles surrounding 4 major stars being resolved or expanded upon - Austin, Foley, Michaels, HHH. If these supposed "big names" aren't bringing attention to the show - if the fans don't care enough to watch, or tell a friend, or simply are not interested, then I think that means something. If this were just one angle, I'd shrug it off too, but this was THREE.

OldSchoolWrestling 0 Report post Posted December 30, 2003 What no break down of the TWO hours? Last night’s edition of Raw did a 3.7 cable rating, with a 6 share, according to Nielsen Media Research. That is up from the 3.0 that the “Best of” show did last week, but had to be lower than WWE expected due to them having announced a top name World Title match in advance and not going against Monday Night Football for the first time since summer. The show did hours of 3.5 and 3.9. The top rated segment for the show was the overrun, which did a 4.4. 1wrestling.com
razazteca 0 Report post Posted December 30, 2003 Will there be a HBK vs Orton main event to see if it was HHH or HBK who drew the ratings?
