Damaramu Posted January 2, 2004 Report Posted January 2, 2004 So anyways I'm playing the game. I've had it for about a week and I haven't even tried Dynasty yet. I was doing classics and rivalry games. Well I start Dynasty. I beat North Texas with OU 80-0. That seems about like a real life interpretation. So then after the game when I'm going to save it says that the disc is damaged. I take it out....no scratches. It won't let me load or start a new Dynasty now. Everytime I click on it it just freezes and makes a god awful skipping noise. So I take it back. I get a new one. I bring it back.......IT DOES THE SAME THING! So I erase all of the NCAA 2004 data off the system. Which pisses me off because I had beaten nearly all the classics. So I go and start Dynasty......IT WORKS! WHAT THE HELL!?
Guest Flyboy Posted January 2, 2004 Report Posted January 2, 2004 Getting the dirty disc error, eh? It's either you have an old game system (a launch PS2, Xbox, GC).. and that's about the only reason it can be doing that.
Guest Skironox Posted January 2, 2004 Report Posted January 2, 2004 Yep, sounds like an old machine is at work here. Smackdown, HCTP is notorious for killing those old machines too.
Guest Flyboy Posted January 2, 2004 Report Posted January 2, 2004 I'd exchange the XBOX. Yeah. If you haven't modded it or used 2nd hand hardware on it.. then I think you can get another Xbox.. just pay for the shipping. Or you could trade-in your Xbox at a Gamespot and pay the difference for a new one.
Damaramu Posted January 2, 2004 Author Report Posted January 2, 2004 Well I got the X-Box in July. I don't know how old it could be. It's not a launch X-Box.
Guest Flyboy Posted January 2, 2004 Report Posted January 2, 2004 This past July? Jesus... I don't know what could be the problem, then. I'd get a new Xbox someway either way.
Damaramu Posted January 2, 2004 Author Report Posted January 2, 2004 Its EA... EA sucks Thanks for your troubleshooting help there bud.
USC Wuz Robbed! Posted January 2, 2004 Report Posted January 2, 2004 I would suggest two different memory cards. One for the Dynasty, the other for Classics.
MrRant Posted January 2, 2004 Report Posted January 2, 2004 I would suggest two different memory cards. One for the Dynasty, the other for Classics. It's an XBOX there bud.
Damaramu Posted January 2, 2004 Author Report Posted January 2, 2004 I would suggest two different memory cards. One for the Dynasty, the other for Classics. It's an XBOX there bud. Well it says it's only taken up 180 blocks. You think it was out of memory?
MrRant Posted January 2, 2004 Report Posted January 2, 2004 God no. Blockwise the XBOX has 50,000+. There is a 5 GB hard drive in there.
USC Wuz Robbed! Posted January 2, 2004 Report Posted January 2, 2004 Oops. Some reason I thought it was a PS2... nevermind then.
