The Ghost of bps21 0 Report post Posted January 3, 2004 No it isn't. It was a fluke.
Bored 0 Report post Posted January 3, 2004 Reason appears to be a foreign concept to you guys........and so does logic.......because if you think about this reasonably and logically you will see my point. But you can't seem to. All you can think is "I hate OU. I was waiting for them to slip up and they did. Now they're the worst team in history." Sorry it doesn't work that way. Based on the season they're the best team in college football. The numbers and the actual games played back me up. You can continue to talk to me but I know I'm right. Again this coming from a guy who called himself a "newbie" to college football this year. I bow to you great college football expert Dama! All those "experts" at ESPN don't know what they are talking about!
Damaramu 0 Report post Posted January 3, 2004 Dama.....you can't be serious. 'Find proof OTHER THAN THE FACT THAT GOT RAPED!!" THAT IS THE PROOF!! And I'm saying to pull your head out of your ass and look at the entire season and you'd realize that that game was a fluke! Tell me. Based on OU's performance all season you can't honestly believe that K-State is such a better team than OU! That on OU's best day they'd still get raped by K-State!? NO YOU CAN'T! And if you try you are lying out your ass. LOOK AT THE FUCKING BIG PICTURE!
The Ghost of bps21 0 Report post Posted January 3, 2004 I'd like to add that BGSU getting slammed by Miami (Ohio) twice was also a fluke. ... as was their close loss to Ohio State. BGSU IS THE GREATEST TEAM EVER!!!!!!!!!!

Damaramu 0 Report post Posted January 3, 2004 Oh...pull your head out of YOUR ass Dama. BGSU is #1. Look at the big picture. Ok. You guys lost and now all you can come up with is this shit. Good job. Make yourself out to look like a dumbass. I used to think you were a pretty smart guy BPS. I liked your WWE folder posts. But now.....you're acting like an idiot. Nobody can still look at the season and come up with anything. That's all I'm asking. Why can't any of you do it?
Edwin MacPhisto 0 Report post Posted January 3, 2004 This thread (and the 34 others like it over the past month) are the only reason I want to see LSU whoop the shit of Oklahoma in two days.
ANKLELOCK 0 Report post Posted January 3, 2004 BPS last post made me laugh out loud. What a funny guy. Guys, all 11 of SMU's losses are flukes. Mustangs are #1!!!
The Ghost of bps21 0 Report post Posted January 3, 2004 *Bangs head into keyboard* Is the computer designed to throw out blowout losses as flukes? Is that how this happened?
Damaramu 0 Report post Posted January 3, 2004 BPS last post made me laugh out loud. What a funny guy. Guys, all 11 of SMU's losses are flukes. Mustangs are #1!!! See. You can't come up with anything. Anything at all. So you have to come up with that. That's what your problem is. You get beaten so you just start making stupid insults and posts. Good job. I'm still waiting for that reason that you can't seem to produce because there isn't one. And I'm still waiting for you to look at OU's entire season and tell me that if they had been playing there best that game would've ended the same way. Come on.....do it. ANKLELOCK 0 Report post Posted January 3, 2004 Dama You still haven't given me proof that OU is better than SMU. LOOK AT THE SEASON!!!!
Damaramu 0 Report post Posted January 3, 2004 *Bangs head into keyboard* Is the computer designed to throw out blowout losses as flukes? Is that how this happened? No it looks at the entire season. Which is a good thing. It doesn't unfairly penalize a team over one loss. I remember the week before the KSU game it was "OU is so good! They've got to be one of the best ever!" then they lose "OH MY GOD! THAT'S GOT TO BE THE WORST COLLEGE FOOTBALL TEAM EVER!"
The Ghost of bps21 0 Report post Posted January 3, 2004 Could you please find me the post where someone called Oklahoma the worst team ever. ... You'll have to come back to reality to do the search though...so wear a helmet.
ANKLELOCK 0 Report post Posted January 3, 2004 I can NOT wait till Sunday night. LSU will rape OU then what will Dama do?
Bored 0 Report post Posted January 3, 2004 Ivan Maisel of ESPN disagrees with you Dama: http://sports.espn.go.com/ncf/bowls03/colu...ivan&id=1698483 PASADENA, Calif. -- In the days before the NFL merger, the teams that lost the conference championship games used to play the following week in a game called the Playoff Bowl. The game died because of a lack of interest. No one is suggesting that the Sugar Bowl not be played Sunday night. It's a nice bowl game. The LSU and Oklahoma fans will have a lot of fun on Bourbon Street. There are drinks to be lifted, and blouses to be lifted, and, at the end of the game, a trophy to be lifted. But the No. 1 team in the country played in the Rose Bowl on Thursday. USC toyed with Michigan, winning 28-14. The Trojans will win their fourth Associated Press championship, and anyone who believes they aren't deserving after Thursday is wearing a) purple and gold or b) crimson and cream. But in your head he probably just biased against Oklahoma. ITS A CONSPIRACY I TELLS YA!
Damaramu 0 Report post Posted January 3, 2004 Could you please find me the post where someone called Oklahoma the worst team ever. ... You'll have to come back to reality to do the search though...so wear a helmet. That's the general attitude I get here. Yes OU got blown out. But by a top ranked team. While USC lost to an unranked team. If we aren't taking margin of victory into account, which you guys don't want to do when you look at the rest of the season......OU is the better team. The season still backs me up. So is anyone going to answer me seriously or just make stupid posts?
The Ghost of bps21 0 Report post Posted January 3, 2004 Call it a fluke and ask us to look at the whole season. Then he'll claim that Oklahoma is #2 because their losses came to ranked teams and USC's one loss didn't

Damaramu 0 Report post Posted January 3, 2004 I can NOT wait till Sunday night. LSU will rape OU then what will Dama do? I told you. If you'd pay attention rather than just finding different ways to bait me you'd know. I said if OU loses to LSU then I will admit that they were the #3 team this season and that they were overrated. But you probably won't let me leave it at that. Me: Well I guess OU just isnt' as good as everyone though. USC and LSU were better. You: HAHAHA! TAKE THAT FUCKER! OU LOST! YOU SUCK! YOUR TEAM SUCKS! FUCK YOU ASSHOLE! HAHAHAAHAHAH! See it's useless because you're going to do something like that no matter what. And Bored. Yes....USC does deserve a piece of that national title. A piece. They are very deserving of that title...but only half of it.
Edwin MacPhisto 0 Report post Posted January 3, 2004 And I'm still waiting for you to look at OU's entire season and tell me that if they had been playing there best that game would've ended the same way. Come on.....do it. It doesn't matter if they COULD have been playing their best. They didn't, and they lost. That's part of the season too. The BCS is good because it looks at the entire season, but I don't think even you would argue that, at the end of the season, USC and LSU were both playing better and had more momentum than OU. I see no problem with a simple idea that's been proposed many times over, if we must have a single national champion: if the AP and Coaches' poll both have the same #1 and #2, those teams play for the title. Period. You can use the BCS standings and conference champs to determine the rest of the 6 slots. If there's a discrepancy, then cede to the computer system. Vern Gagne 0 Report post Posted January 3, 2004 The writers, and coaches probably don't necessarily think USC, or LSU is better than OU. They just base there rankings on what happened recently. OU happened to lose at the end of the season. The worst possible, time to have your first loss.
The Ghost of bps21 0 Report post Posted January 3, 2004 "It doesn't matter if they COULD have been playing their best. They didn't, and they lost. That's part of the season too. This is the kind of shit that causes flame wars and bannings. I can't even argue with you guys anymore. I think I'm right and you think you're right. There is no changing one another's mind's obviously. I sent APO a PM. Hopefully he'll close this before it gets out of hand. Goodnight.
Bored 0 Report post Posted January 3, 2004 As a Stanford fan I'd like to say that all seven of their losses were flukes. Stanford defeated UCLA Who defeated California Who defeated USC Who defeated Washington State Who defeated Texas Who defeated Kansas State Who defeated Oklahoma See Stanford is better than both USC and Oklahoma! Guest Deebo Report post Posted January 3, 2004 The Kansas State game is part of the full season, or "BIG PICTURE" as you keep calling it. You cant get your ass handed to you in a game and then say...."oh yeah, but we were so good before, so this game doesn't really count" Oklahoma didn't win the Big 12 so they can't win the National Championship. Plain and simple that's how it should be.
The Ghost of bps21 0 Report post Posted January 3, 2004 Hey...I'm just trying to look at the big picture here. Paying special attention to the parts of that picture I'm not supposed to look at because of...you know...flukes and stuff. Seriously...If BGSU had been at their absolute best those days they'd be the only undefeated team in the land. I guess that's why they judge on the real world and not the football version where the stats don't vary

Thank you and goodnight. This is hopeless. You guys are like an unreasonable brick wall.
