Let's remember that Austin had the belt from Mania until Unforgiven just last year.  And he had FAR more competition than HHH AND wasn't poking Stephanie.  I'm thinking had not HHH ripped his quad, he would have won the belt clean at KOTR from Austin and possibly still have it without jobbing it to this day.

Yes, he will have people to defend against.  But the point here is that which one is he ever going to job to?

UT?

The fans don't want it. Of course, they don't want Hunter, but not now.

Austin?

Is the NWC done playing their little games with Austin?

Angle?

The man who is on a never ending midcard tour?

Rock?

Hogan's little Buddy? The guy who refused a title shot so Hogan could have it? Rock has been neuterered.

UT?

Wouldn't count on it since UT already went over clean once

Austin?

They wanted him to job to HALL...you think they'll put him over HHH right now?

Angle?

:rolls around on the floor and has fits of laughter:

I can't count the number of clean jobs he's given to HHH since NWO.  Plus, can he recover from his position right now by Unforgiven?

Beefca...uh, I mean Rock?

Out of the picture right now, plus Hogan's kiss-ass on screen.  My question here is: Which Clique member will he be jobbing to in the midcard when he returns?

Wasn't the plan to have HHH/Benoit at KOR?

and possibly still have it without jobbing it to this day.

Whatever.

Why was he at all?

No room at the top of the card?

The Nostagia or his body will wear out.

Maybe.

Why aren't they doing anything NOW?

Because they think Kurt is better used to get mid-carders over and that Jericho's reign sucked.

Why not NOW? Because they needed room in the main event for Hunter's friends?

Yeah, basically.

What does any of that have to do with the topic? Yeah, Kurt went from a main eventer to an uppermidcarder(I guess) in the span of 2 months. That just shows what I mean. Unforgiven is a long way off, who knows what they will be thinking then. HHH could be a heel and it's much easier for him to drop the title.

Okay, so in other words, Hunter fucked EVERY SINGLE PERSON in the company so he could get his WORTHLESS friends in the main event. That's what you're saying, right? I read that correctly? You said Austin, Angle, RVD, Jericho were all demoted to amke room for Hunter's useless, aging friends. Austin and RVD just because they needed room, Angle because Hunter viewed him as a threat (Better served making midcarders? BULLSHIT.) and Jericho because Hunter's girlfriend fucked Jericho's reign. And you find nothing wrong with that?

Yeah, but that doesn't always stop them.

Maybe. He could retain against UT at Judgment Day then lose to him in a screwjob at KOR.

The man who is on a never ending midcard tour?

"Never ending"? Not even going to bother talking about this with you.

Plus, can he recover from his position right now by Unforgiven?

Sure. 2 months tops.

No, not now. Maybe if HHH turns heel. Plenty of time for that.

Hogan's little Buddy? The guy who refused a title shot so Hogan could have it? Rock has been neuterered.

I completely agree. Very lame booking. Still, you claim Hogan is going to be gone soon, so Rock could come back and not be his lackey.

No. I said nothing like that at all. All I've said is that it's pretty silly to be so sure that he will refuse to drop the title for a half a year, no matter how apparently evil he is backstage.

Logic would back HHH wanting to keep the title for as long as he could as it would make him the de facto top dog. the Champ is the wrestler the wwf always likes to use for PR work too so HHH could feasibly be all over the tv. be afraid be very afraid.

I don't find that to be silly at all.  He DID hang with HBK, you know.

Hunter is walking proof.

"Never ending"? Not even going to bother talking about this with you.

Well, let's see. Two months so far, no end in sight, no main eventers for him to face. Obviosuly not never ending in the literal sense, but I see another good five months.

Rock will be back in about two ppvs. I don't see Hogan/HHH lasting that long. Benoit should be back before Rock....

Five months may be stretching it a little, but it doesn't seem to be ending anytime soon.  Especially if he jobs (which, frighteningly, seems to be a high possibility)

i really don't think benoit will be getting as big a push as many people think he will.

Guest Anglesault

Rock seems to be setting something up with Jericho Makes more sense, you know? HHH needs to feud with Raw. I think Benoit is coming back heel. Not really the most compelling face on earth.

And how long do you see this Edge feud lasting? Who do you think will win?

I don't think so either, sadly.

Well, it IS HHH, you know.

1 to 2 ppvs. Kurt.

Do you really think they'll give this excruciating feud another PPV?

they gave regal vs. edge 3 ppv's edge vs. angle's good for at least another

Guest Anglesault

I'd like to think they learned there lesson after Edge/Regal. Edge can't do an extended program.

I think it's highly possible. There's nothing else for either to do, since Benoit won't be ready for the next ppv and Rock is gone. I could see them booking Edge to win at Backlash then Kurt get his revenge at JD, or the other way around. I doubt either will really "win" the feud. They'll probably just exchange wins and then it will be dropped.

What's with the interest in my thoughts of this match?

Ahh, crap.

There's nothing else for either to do

Angle can get his surgery!

I want to see how you figur Kurt going from THIS to viable contender.

Guest cobainwasmurdered

he won't. he'll go from this to feuding with Albert

Guest Sakura

Ahh, crap.

Exactly. And you know no one is going to really win the feud. Even if Kurt wins on PPV, Edge will get a pin in a tag match or a rematch on free TV. Nobody ever really wins feuds anymore in the mid card. Who won the Booker/Edge feud? Edge won the ppv match, but Booker won the rematch? Neither Edge or Kurt will move up. It's just filler.

I want to see how you figur Kurt going from THIS to viable contender.

Well, like I said, he will stay at the same level he is now. It will take a short feud with Rock or Hogan and he'll be right back at the title contender level. Look at 2001. Kurt started off as champion. After dropping it he feuded with Benoit, an upper-midcarder. Nobody really won the feud. A month later Benoit was fighting for the WWF title and Kurt kept up the meaningless midcard filler(Shane). 2 months later the invasion came and he was just magically right back to being good enough to win the title.

Yeah, it could be Olympic Gold Medalist vs. Olympic Failure and just failure in general.

Edge can't do a good program. Period.

I seriously doubt the WWF learned their lesson. They don't seem to be learning from their other mistakes.

HHH is going to job to X-Pac of course.  Duh.

Posted

Well, according to X-Pac, he has been a main eventer for 3 years, so I guess HHH might be thinking it's time to give him the title.

Yeah, those Scott Hall main events have been brutal.  But, of course, if we're going to consider ANY of HHH's friends main eventers, then we have to consider Kurt Angle a main eventer, too.  And as much as certain people here like to imagine that the WWF is HHH and Stephanie's plaything, Hunter's friends are in the midcard and they aren't going anywhere anytime soon.

I'd call the nWo the main eevnt heels on Raw.
