printing question

Sorry if this is one of those questions that only comes from complete idiots, but I'm very computer illiterate.

 

I want to print my own video lables, I have a HP Deskjet 882C, the manual says to only use size A4 or US Letter lables, is that the size I need for a video tape lable,

 

and do I just put the label right through the printer or do I need to buy label sheets.
