Advice on

Guest Bottled Black

Thinking about heading to Vegas for vaction this year, and I was wondering if anyone recommends any hotels over the others.

I was looking at Pleasure Island earlier, looks like a nice hotel right on the strip.

Any opinions would be appreciated. Thanks

If you're looking for...

Cheaper hotels: Try Imperial Palace or the Flamingo. Nice and central, so you don't have to walk very far to anything. Boardwalk is also half-decent, but further down the Strip.

Mid-range hotels: Treasure Island is very nice. So are New York New York, MGM Grand, and the Rio...Rio is off-strip, but you can walk over to the Gold Coast and grab a free shuttle to Barbary Coast.

Money-is-no-object hotels: The Venetian and Bellagio, from what I've heard, are the nicest...but you're looking at upwards of $300 a night for any of those. Better just to visit.

I went their last month. I stayed at the Flamingo. Really nice hotel and one of the cheapest ones. Its right in the middle so your near everything. Forget Bellagio or The Venetian unless you have $500 a night to spend. NY NY (you also have coyote ugly bar there), MGM Grand, Paris, Mirage, Caesars Palace, and Mandalay Bay are all nice but are in the middle to high middle priced hotels. PM me and we can talk. Everything is still fresh in my mind.

Bally's has also seen a lot of new construction and is one of the nicest there now.

First, I advise you to rent a very fast car with no top. You'll need some hawaiian shirts, and you'll need to arm yourselves. To the teeth.

One suitcase full of contraband later, and you've got tales for the grandkids.
