Matches are being set up as we speak, but one match is set already. NWA Florida Champion Steve Madison faces Lucha Superstar Shocker! Other stars from LXW scheduled to appear include Angel, Super Dragon, Zokre, Phoenix Star, Damien 666 and Halloween, Scorpio Sky and Quicksilver, and Los Lunatics. From its inception, LXW has looked to uphold the honor and integrity of “traditional” Mexican wrestling. Therefore, we feel it is only fitting that we begin a relationship with a company that upholds the same values and love of tradition as that of LXW. LXW Officials along with NWA Florida Officials have been working diligently to “seal the deal” and have come to terms on a working agreement and on February 28th, 2004, at The Arena, 4251 34th Street North, St Petersburg, Florida, LXWs’ Xtreme Luchadores will step into the ring and face off against the best that NWA Florida has to offer. This will be an historic event for both companies involved, as well as for the great fans of Florida. This is a first for both companies involved, as they have never “partnered” up with an outside organization until now. Both companies realize that this is truly something special and are excited to announce the signing of two matches for this history-making event. First off, the top Mexican Lucha Libre sensation, Shocker, will face off against NWA Florida Champion, Steve Madison. This will be the first time these two combatants have ever met and will be without a doubt, a battle for the ages. The second match that has officially been signed will be a Trios Match as Damien 666, Halloween and American Wild Child, a.k.a. “La Familia de Tijuana”, take on the NWA Florida Tag Team Champions, The Shane Twins along with their partner/manager “Hardcore Giant” Ron Niemi. This match will bring the flair and flavor of traditional Mexican wrestling to the rings of NWA Florida. This is just the beginning, as more matches will be announced in the days and weeks to come.
