Guest OnlyMe Report post Posted January 10, 2004 At the current rate of 12 PPVs every 52 weeks, they have an average of 4.3 weeks build per show. Bringing that up to 14 would give them 3.7 weeks build. Factor in Raw and SmackDown! having their own PPVs, and you're not losing that much build up for each show. Of course, 4.3 weeks is shit in itself, but there you go...
The Czech Republic 0 Report post Posted January 11, 2004 Question. Since there is a PPV every month where are the extra 2 going to fit in? Vince will just realign the calendar to include two more months. We're scheduled to move from the Gregorian to the Vincentian calendar in 2005. "Order WWE Unforgiven, Sunday, Stephember 31st." Unfortunately the 14th event will be cancelled due to that lousy Smarch weather.

thuganomics 0 Report post Posted January 11, 2004 I guess I don't get the big fuss about this. I've expected WWE to start this for two years now. This more than anything else was the point of the brand extension in the first place. Yes, their product needs to improve; I don't think anyone here questions that. But I think doing both a Raw/Smackdown PPV in the same month will do nothing but make them money. Sure, some people might only buy one, but others will get both, making WWE more money in the long run.
