Guest champchavez Posted January 11, 2004 Report Posted January 11, 2004 i've seen very little IWA-MS, but I do know that Nate Webb works there. i really thought Nate had a lot of potential when he debuted in WCW as Eddie Guerrero's bodyguard Spyder, as part of the lWo. i was wondering what his best matches to date are? thanks
Guest Joe_G Posted January 11, 2004 Report Posted January 11, 2004 i really thought Nate had a lot of potential when he debuted in WCW as Eddie Guerrero's bodyguard Spyder, as part of the lWo. You're joking, right? They're not the same guy. Eddy's bodyguard was a guy named Art Flores. Nate didn't even debut on the indies until '99 (I think) and he's not, you know, latino. Anyway, Nate doesn't have a lot of classics under his belt, but his matches are almost always entertaining. I did greatly enjoy his match against Dysfunction at the 6th Anniversary Show.
JustJoe2k5 Posted January 12, 2004 Report Posted January 12, 2004 His Tables, Ladders, and Chairs match against Nick Mondo from the 300th Show has gotten great reviews, as well as his Barbed Wire Tables, Ladders, and Chairs against J.C. Bailey from April Bloodshowers '03.
Guest Jay Z. Hollywood Posted January 12, 2004 Report Posted January 12, 2004 Also check out these matches: Nate vs. Nick Mondo, #301 Nate vs. JC Bailey, 2/3 falls, Derby Madness Nate vs. Austin Aries, Quote the Raven Nate vs. Michael Shane, Winter Wars 2003
Phoenix Fury Legdrop Posted January 12, 2004 Report Posted January 12, 2004 Nate vs. Michael Shane from WWK2K3 was the best I've seen Shane just about ever, and that's not a coincidence. Great story based around Shane working the knee, and the set-up for Shane's superkick was really, really great. Nate vs. Ian Rotten from the Hussman Cometh morphed seemlessly from a hilarious comedy match (hugging homosexuals, wedgies, dancing...nothing is barred) into a really good mat wrestling match, with Nate busting out plenty of his Nate2P. Haven't seen much of his stuff with JC Bailey, but they had a pretty good TLC match for the IWA Mid-South Light Heavyweight Title against Sonjay Dutt (including a posedown won by referee Brian Gorie and a ho-down) at Breaking Balls. Oh, and even though the matches might not be your cup of tea, try and get his matches from Ultra Styles Clash Night One and KOTDM 2003, as the entrances are beyond awesome.
Mystery Eskimo Posted January 12, 2004 Report Posted January 12, 2004 I remember a match against Chris Hero that was fun. At least I think that was Webb.
Guest ConspiracyVictim Posted January 13, 2004 Report Posted January 13, 2004 Nate Webb vs. Chris Hero at Simply the Best 3 was probably the most fun I have ever had watching a Nate Webb match. Good stuff... I also enjoyed the matches between Nate and JC Bailey, the one from April Bloodshowers in particular. Nate has also had some good matches with 2 Tough Tony that ive seen on some comps, but I will have to come back with the dates for those.
