Anybody else's year starting off shitty?

2004 was going just fine until a few days ago. I already posted about it in LSD and get lambasted by most, so no need to rewrite it all here. I start wrestling tonight though, so things are looking up slightly. Hell, I doubt anything can be worse than 2003. The first 2 months were great, but the last 10 were the worst of my life. 2004 has to be an improvement.

 

As for the rest of you, I hope things get better soon, especially those with health and family issues. That's serious stuff.

I've got most of a case of homebrew wine left, which will last me until the next case is ready (it's already down). Other than that...well, who cares, really. Any year in which I'm loaded more often than not is a good one.

my year almost ended bad..communicational breakdown between me and my fiancee got us mighty upset until we realized what happened...s'all good now.

 

of course, i started i new job...so take that for what its worth. and it looks like ill be able to have more time to trip down to see her than i did last semester.

So far, so good. It looks like I'm on track to get a promotion in May, which would bump me up to "more money than I know what to do with," without much added responsibility. And I've lost nearly 15 pounds since the start of the year. Life's pretty good.

Perhaps this is just my opinion, but I would think this kind of thread was created for the sole purpose of hearing about people having a SHITTY year so far. Damaramu is depressed over starting out so sucky, so he wanted to hear about other people starting out with sucky years too. Misery loves company. I doubt hearing that somebody got a promotion or received a big gift is going to do anything towards making him feel better and will probably just depress him even more. Those kinds of things seem better represented in a "How is your year going so far?" kind of thread than "Is Anybody else's year starting off shitty?"

 

So with that out of the way, I'd appreciate to hear everyone else's depressing stories about this year. This way, I can feel better about how shitty mine has started out.
