A really good all-purpose DV cam is the Canon ZR70MC - It's the standard that I recomment to everyone to buy at work (I'm in charge of recommending cameras to faculty) Canon makes GREAT DV cameras, to start. The ZR70MC also has an analog input, so you can copy old VHS, etc to DV, and you can also use it as a bridge to capture analog video sources over Firewire on your computer, which can be very useful for editing. go to www.canondv.com for more info. Thanks-Jim www.jmtapes.com I know the optics are good (the 60, 65 and 70 are all very similar in that department) I don't know if the 60 can be used as a bridge. Does it have anything in the instruction manual about recording other videos onto DV tapes using the camera? If it does, then it should be usable as a bridge, too.
