The WWE Folder

This may just be me, but has anyone else noticed the WWE Folder has become so petulant and hateful that it's beginning to become difficult to read. Every post contains some virulent, hate filled slam against HHH, Vince, or Stephanie. This would be fine if any of them were FUNNY, or CLEVER, or NOT TOTALLY BEYOND THE POINT OF CLICHE AND DRIFTING INTO UNINTENTIONAL COMEDY IN AND OF THEMSELVES.

Oh and the 10,000 newbies who enter their daily, posting inane, misspelt babble aren't helping matters.

Remember when you tried to act like Banky? Man, that was funny...

But yeah, the WWE folder is incredibly difficult-to-damn-near impossible to read through without needing some Tylenol. It seems as though every other day, there's someone new, posting old news, then everyone jumps all over him. Lather, rinse, repeat.

Seriously though, I should note the irony in that for the couple of months I lurked on this board before registering, I read the WWE folder almost exclusively

But since I've actually joined, I rarely venture there at all

Here's a better example:

Back in the day, Anglesault posted a lot in the WWE Folder. He complained a lot, but we tolerated it. I kinda understand now that AS unintentionally mellowed us all. Because he was SO violently angry at the product, many people who would normally be posting negative things had to actually defend the WWE just to calm him down. Then you could get good discussions going about the WWE and such because you had opposing viewpoints.

Now it's like the folder has been overrun by Anglesaults who have forgotten how to spell or think logically.

Looks like the monthly WWE folder complaint is right on time.

Looks like the regular "Mr. Rant looking at his calendar" reference is right on time

Meh. The WWE folder has sucked for a long time, dude. But nobody really does anything about it. There's not much you can do unless you start banning people for being stupid.

Which might not be a bad idea.

I'm perfectly ok with people complaining, but if you do so at LEAST put a bit of thought into your posts, back up what you say, and just overall use your head.

The cliche brainless bashing and name calling is old now, and makes the folder look like a mess...

...that's a great way to put it.

No!

What TSM needs is for Dames to appoint a WWE Folder Sheriff~!

I'm guessing that a fair few posters on the WWE board are there to wind up the rest. For example, whoever it is that defends Randy Orton to the death. Is it Besus?

HD should invade WWE :firedevil:

We need a WWE Folder Sheriff and a WWE Folder "GM". At least that way, amidst the normal stupidity of most of the posts, there's a battle of people being banned or reinstated left and right that might be fun to watch.

Looks like the regular "AngelSlayer looking at his calendar to see if MrRant is looking at his calendar" is right on time as well.

If HD invades a folder it should be CE.

SOMEONE needs to remind those people that they're posting their political views on a wrestling message board on the Internet. That's like giving instructions on the construction of home-made atomic bombs on the Food Network at 2:31 AM.

We've been saying that shit for nearly a year...or more.

And yet, nothing's changed!

Great job, Banky!

I think that's the point, Zsasz. how do you propose we "change" the WWE Folder? I think it's really too far gone to worry about. Let it crash and burn. Part of me wishes it was on a cycle, like The Matrix. All we need is an Agent Smith and a Neo to start duking it out in threads until something happens to make everything start over.

That'd be righteous.

Too much bandwidth would be involved. The board would crash. Alot.

If I ever took a notion to say to heck with it and get banned, I'd be Agent Smith.

Haha, I doubt I'll be there for it. Maybe for Mania. If this semester is anyting like last semester I'll have something big due around Rumble time probably.

Here's a thought.

1.) Have designated posters for posting 1bob News Threads, Torch News Update Threads, Observer News Update Threads, PPV Threads, One and Only Raw Threads, One and Only SD Threads, One and Only Veloicidental Threads, and One and Only Heat Threads. Then we'll stop with the same news stories having 3 and 4 threads about them.

2.) Institute a system where tasteless comments, horrible writing skills, hopelessly redundant comments, and generally idiotic statements get you a Warning. Three warnings in one week and you are banned. Keep track of who has warnings in a pinned thread at the top.

3.) Have the mods do for WWE what DrTom has done for CE: Keep out the fluff. If a topic has been done to death or is just inane to begin: GET RID OF IT and send a PM to the author explaining in civil terms why you did it.
