Guest FrigidSoul Report post Posted January 15, 2004 and the job goes to...Lovie Smith. another good sign for Pats fans
Vern Gagne 0 Report post Posted January 15, 2004 St. Louis didn't have that great defense. Besides the Bears need help offensively more.
Guest FrigidSoul Report post Posted January 15, 2004 St. Louis lead the league in take-aways though. It also didn't help that Bulger kept throwing picks right after getting the ball back thus making the Defense be on the field more than they should have. Lovie could be good for the Bears
Vern Gagne 0 Report post Posted January 15, 2004 True. I have no problem with the hiring either. Smith sounds like the kind of coach who can get the Bears over the hump.
Guest Dynamite Kido Report post Posted January 15, 2004 WOW, the bears suck. Jauron shouldn't have gotten fired in the first place.
2GOLD 0 Report post Posted January 15, 2004 WOW, the bears suck. Jauron shouldn't have gotten fired in the first place. I agree about Dick. Lovie is a good hire though. Good defensive mind and gave the RAMS the defense they needed. Sadly, Martz was the problem on offense and he just won't leave. Wonder who the Rams QB is next year

snuffbox 0 Report post Posted January 17, 2004 I was really hoping for the return of Mike Ditka to Chitown.
The Czech Republic 0 Report post Posted January 18, 2004 I think Ditka is the answer too. I also maintain that had Thomas, Urlacher, McQuarters, Miller and company re-recorded the Super Bowl Shuffle, they would be much better off.
Guest Salacious Crumb Report post Posted January 18, 2004 WOW, the bears suck. Jauron shouldn't have gotten fired in the first place. I totally agree. Jauron got a talentless team to 7-9 and had some impressive wins this season. They should've given him 1 more year.
A Happy Medium 0 Report post Posted January 18, 2004 The Bears had some good talent this year, actually. After Warrick Holdman came back they had a great core of backers, with Urlacher, Holdman, and their rookie Briggs. They also have some good young wide receivers, Charles Tillman has "it". He comes up big when that play is needed, see him taking a touchdown out of Randy Moss' hands and getting the IT in the endzone. They need a pass rush, that was just pitiful this year. But...Rex Grossman...they haven't had a QB like him in forever...which means one that looks like a leader and has a cannon.
Guest Salacious Crumb Report post Posted January 18, 2004 They were a big mess for the first month of the season though. I was really impressed that they battled their way to 7-9 and could've potentially been 8-8 when we all had them as a 3-13 type team.
CanadianChris 0 Report post Posted January 18, 2004 WOW, the bears suck. Jauron shouldn't have gotten fired in the first place. You've got to be kidding me. Jauron wasn't a horrible coach, but when you have a losing record as coach and no playoff wins after five years, it's time to go. Plus, his offensive schemes were pitiful.
