AndrewTS Posted January 20, 2004 Report Posted January 20, 2004 And I laugh at the people who say that people don't buy Holly because of Spark Plugg. I doubt the majority of people watching WWE these days even remember Spark Plug. Did anyone say that? Nope. You inferred that. Survery says....no. Your Olympic hero stated: BUT, fans remember Sparky Plugg. They remember the super heavyweight Holly Cousins. They remember the fact that Holly has been around for ten years and has never done jack shit... so why will he be able to now? Thanks for playing. Okay, so someone said it. You said "people" though.
IWD Posted January 20, 2004 Report Posted January 20, 2004 Faarooq at KOTR 97 That's my pick for one of the least-convincing. Terrible match too.
spiny norman Posted January 20, 2004 Report Posted January 20, 2004 I would put Bossman as the least convincing. Not only that, he was facing Big Show. Lesnar - Holly is better than Big Show - Bossman. And like Holly or not, they've built this rather well. While at times I think "Why are they acting like there's some massive threat, it's Hardcore Holly" that thought is coming to me less often.
Jack_Bauer Posted January 20, 2004 Report Posted January 20, 2004 I would say that Holly and Bossman are on a tie. Did anyone believe that Bossman had a chance ? It should be a good little match on Sunday mind you, but if Holly wins, I'm gonna throw things at my TV.
Guest hunger4unger Posted January 20, 2004 Report Posted January 20, 2004 I'll go with Bossman - though Chyna was once #1 contender :shudders:
cabbageboy Posted January 20, 2004 Report Posted January 20, 2004 I actually think that this feud has been fairly well done. It's hard to screw up a "You broke my neck you bastard" type feud. Hell, at least this feud has a feasible backstory and Holly is a decent enough wrestler. Do I think he's going to win? No. But I think he might be on such a kamikaze mission to injure Brock that he'll soften Brock up for him to lose to someone at the next PPV before WM.
Guest Frank_Nabbit Posted January 20, 2004 Report Posted January 20, 2004 What about Lanny Poffo's late 80's early 90's run with Hogan? Kinda like when Savage fought Virgil after WM 4.
