Guest wildpegasus Posted January 22, 2004 Report Posted January 22, 2004 Does anyone out there know if footage exists of the July 18/July19 2003 WWE Smackdown tour on tape or if there'll be a taping of the upcoming Raw tour?
Guest TheZsaszHorsemen Posted January 31, 2004 Report Posted January 31, 2004 I saw a handheld of HHH/Tajiri, the match was pretty sweet (HHH brings the workrate, for once) but the quality was terrible. Just felt like sharing.
Guest wildpegasus Posted January 31, 2004 Report Posted January 31, 2004 Yeah, I imagine the match would be good. HHH's actually underrated as a wrestler right now.
Guest Dynamite Kido Posted January 31, 2004 Report Posted January 31, 2004 Underrated by who? By people who have no clue what they are talking about.
Guest NANIWA* Posted January 31, 2004 Report Posted January 31, 2004 people that know what they are talking about. And who is that? I consider HHH to be a decent worker, but he really hasn't impressed me all that much in the last 2 years, except for the few times he's wrestled Shawn. Other then that, the guy seems to just hit the cruise control button for most matches. HHH has had some good matches over the years, but I can't recall any of them being good because HHH alone made them that way. In other words he can try, but he's no Ric Flair...
Guest wildpegasus Posted January 31, 2004 Report Posted January 31, 2004 Underrated by who? On average, he's underrated a little right now. There are a lot of people who have been very hard on his wrestling skills. Back in 2000, he was actually overrated. Right now, I consider him good.
Guest Ghettoman Posted January 31, 2004 Report Posted January 31, 2004 For me his self serving style takes away from his matches dramatically and I think as a worker he should be faulted for it. But because he's not horrible and he's had some overrated matches with Shawn he's gotten a lot more credit than he has before. To me he's still the slow out of shape confused brawler who wants to be pushed as technical who's only out to make the character Triple H the biggest wrestler ever who was never really that over.
SinToxic Posted January 31, 2004 Report Posted January 31, 2004 HHH looked like bloated Barbra Streisand, maybe it was that bad quality after all.
Guest RickyChosyu Posted February 1, 2004 Report Posted February 1, 2004 Underrated by who? people that know what they are talking about. And who do you mean by that? I've heard pretty much nothing but unanimous praise for Trip/Shawn from Raw. The only negative thing I can remember hearing about it was that Shawn losing in his home town really burned them and that the WWE has gotten in the habbit of doing that as of late. I haven't actually seen the match itself, but when I hear people pimping it so much after having seen most of their other "big" matches, I find it a little bit hard to believe. Then again, some people thought their Summerslam '02 match was great, so I don't have much faith in people's standards these days.

From the people I've talked to and the stuff I've read on the internet people over the last year on average have been very hard on HHH's skills. That's why I say HHH is a little underrated right now. True, more people are praising HHH now after the Raw bout but that was only for one match.
Lil' Bitch Posted February 4, 2004 Report Posted February 4, 2004 *hoping for a Japanese fan to sneak in a camcorder
Insane Bump Machine Posted February 4, 2004 Report Posted February 4, 2004 These pics make me really want to see this match.
Guest Dynamite Kido Posted February 4, 2004 Report Posted February 4, 2004 These pics make me really want to see this match. I agree, as I wouldn't mind seeing these two going at it with their workboots.
JJMc Posted February 5, 2004 Report Posted February 5, 2004 What's the deal with H being on a Smackdown tour? And the red ropes?
Insane Bump Machine Posted February 5, 2004 Report Posted February 5, 2004 I think the HHH/Tajiri match was actually part of the Far East tour in January 2003. It was a RAW tour and Tajiri was only there because he's the most prominent Japanese wrestler on their roster.
Guest Your Olympic Hero Posted February 23, 2004 Report Posted February 23, 2004 Looks like a pretty nice German by Tajiri on Trips. Tajiri could be atleast a successful upper midcarder if given the right treatment.
