Perfxion Posted January 23, 2004 Report Posted January 23, 2004 Last weekI ran a virus check and everything was fine and clean. Then I get the dreaded McAfee subscription is almost up message and let it go for the rest of the week. Then the other day I picked up McAfee Internet Suite and loaded everything and updated everything. I was able to use everything on my PC. I run a spyware check and get about 28 worms found and deleted them. I then try to update my Kazaa to version 2.6 and can't uninstall Kazaa. Now I try going into Control Panel and Windows Explorer crashes, EACH time. I try restarting and it crashes again. I ran virus scan and to see if any new virus were placed down on my PC. I got a crappy HP with XP on it and can't wait until July when I buy my new PC.
MrRant Posted January 24, 2004 Report Posted January 24, 2004 Boot into Safe Mode ( Just tap F8 as the computer boots) and then try to uninstall.
Perfxion Posted January 25, 2004 Author Report Posted January 25, 2004 I did the next best thing, system restore. But I had to delete alot of bad files that crashed it. Thanks anyways.
Perfxion Posted February 2, 2004 Author Report Posted February 2, 2004 Part 2: Everything working for a few days now everything decides to die on me. I can't Windows Explorer or IE to even THINK about opening. How do I even reinstall either one of them because it is keeps giving me the Not Responding, even on fresh start-ups?
