Downhome Posted January 22, 2004 Report Posted January 22, 2004 Ok, I leave my computer on just about all the time, with my DSL running. Every once in a while however, when I wake up in the morning, my DSL will be disconnected and my computer will have been shut down, put into sleep mode, or something. On my tower, the green power light goes to orange, and when I press it I come to the XP log in screen, and when I do so everything is still open as it was when I left it, with the only difference being that my DSL connection is no longer up and running. It doesn't do this all of the time, just every now and then. How can I keep this from happening? Sincerely, ...Downhome...
Guest Fook Posted January 22, 2004 Report Posted January 22, 2004 Right click on the desktop and choose properties. Go to the screen saver tab and click power. Set your options.
MrRant Posted January 22, 2004 Report Posted January 22, 2004 Go to Control Panel and then select Power Management/Options. Choose what you want.
The Ghost of bps21 Posted January 24, 2004 Report Posted January 24, 2004 My computer goes into hybernate when I leave it idle for too long. This prevents me from leaving it on to download stuff overnight. How do I fix that? Thanks.

The Ghost of bps21 Posted January 24, 2004 Report Posted January 24, 2004 hmm...look at that. Recent too.
Guest Krazy Karter Posted January 25, 2004 Report Posted January 25, 2004 I am offcially confused here. BPS started a thread with basically the same problem you had. I alerted him to the fact you already brought it up, and he merged the 2 threads.
