They are most likely the shitty versions(crappy picture and sound) that you get in all of those multi movie box sets for cheap prices.

 

Still, it's a good price if you don't mind VCR quality in DVD form.

I know of around 40...it's all old stuff. I think Night of the Living Dead is the most recent.

 

It would make for a great marathon of b movies around halloween

A good portion of those have been MST3Ked.

MST used them for the same reason this box set is using them. The rights are cheap or they are public domain.

 

However, there's also many good movies in this.

I'm all about old school horror, so I've at least heard of most of those. Yeah, I would question the quality, but it's not like you're going to find most of that stuff in better quality elsewhere. If you just want the movies and the honor of having a huge freaking box set taking up shelf space to impress the chicks, there you go.
