Toxxic Posted January 31, 2004 Report Posted January 31, 2004 Just FYI - the WWE broadcast Raw here tonight, ended about half an hour ago. Orton's original botched RKO on Jericho was edited out (very well, actually), making it look like the only attempt on it was the successful one. And they say the WWE don't care about the international market. Oh, and... GO FOLEY~!
Guest Anglesault Posted January 31, 2004 Report Posted January 31, 2004 It's a shame. "You Fucked Up" was more heat than he got for the entire month of December.
Guest BionicRedneck Posted January 31, 2004 Report Posted January 31, 2004 I think they care more about Orton not looking like a tit. Plus, they always edit blown spots don't they?
The Ghost of bps21 Posted January 31, 2004 Report Posted January 31, 2004 I know they'll edit them for DVD release. Sometimes they find new angles (for stuff like Kane's super safe piledriver) or Jericho/Rhyno a couple years ago...they'll just cut stuff.
Guest Ghettoman Posted January 31, 2004 Report Posted January 31, 2004 "You Fucked Up" was more heat than he got for the entire month of December. Is there such a thing as an unintentionally funny joke?
Guest Metallica Posted January 31, 2004 Report Posted January 31, 2004 Does anyone have a video clip of this?
spiny norman Posted January 31, 2004 Report Posted January 31, 2004 That's interesting, because in Australia Raw is broadcast on Friday nights, and it was left in unedited. I wonder why they change it for people from the UK, but not for us?
muzz Posted January 31, 2004 Report Posted January 31, 2004 I was watching RAW last night down here in Oz and was waiting for Orton's botch. But I went out to make a cup of tea and missed it. It was funny trying to here JR and Lawler cover it up, after putting over how technically perfect everything he did before hand was.
Guest RickyB Posted January 31, 2004 Report Posted January 31, 2004 It's sky that edit it out and not the WWE.
Guest Suicide King Posted February 1, 2004 Report Posted February 1, 2004 You know, maybe it's just me, but wasn't that botch as much Jericho's fault as it was Orton's? If you don't follow someone down on a diamond cutter, nothing is gonna happen. It looks like Orton surprised Jericho a little, but as with both botched moves I would blame both men. If I am allowed to criticize Jericho on the internet that is.
spiny norman Posted February 1, 2004 Report Posted February 1, 2004 I agree that it was partially Jericho's fault. But what a lot of people have against Orton is the fact that he immediately went and repeated it, which drew a lot of attention. Though that also can be partially attributed to Jericho, as he could have dropped the Walls, and get ready to turn around to confront Orton only to be RKO-ed for good. But yes, I think I'm a bit torn in who to blame, and so have decided to not particularly care and get over it.
Guest Suicide King Posted February 1, 2004 Report Posted February 1, 2004 (edited) And I hereby officially title you, spiny norman, as SENSIBLE MAN! Edited February 1, 2004 by Suicide King
