Charisma Carpenters = Wonder Woman?

Recommended Posts

You look at that outfit and the story, and tell me the movies not being made simply to cash in on trends.

How about you replace her with Janet and change the title to Boobwoman. It'd serve there purpose better.

Oh, I'm not disputing that. I'm also not disputing the fact that it's DC's business to make money and they can do whatever the hell they want with their franchise, so why should I care that much?

How about this...

Batman & Robin... Batman use a credit card.. and dont forget that awful Batgirl

Superman 4(?)... Superman vs Richard Pryror

Lois & Clark, the adventures of Superman... a Frog eating Lois Clone.

Did you see how many past/present/future "ideas" they mixed/used in Birds of Prey?

To get back on topic, I'd put Charisma's acting skills this way.

She started out as someone who really wasn't great, but eventually improved to become second billing on the spin off show for four years, playing a character with strong growth and depth.

Agreed, Dames. She's definitely shown that she has the chops to take on a major role and I think she'd be great as Wonder Woman.

Woah, don't bash Lois and Clark; that was a good show for the first few seasons.

I only liked the first season.

You know, I always thought Charisma Carpenter was talented... until Evil Cordy. Then she fell to pieces. I always feel it's hard to rate most Buffy actors because I always get the impression that Joss tries to get as much of the actor into the roles as possible, to give the most believable and real performance. And well... Charisma isn't Evil Cordy or anything like it.

That being said, Wonder Woman isn't a million miles away from Hero Cordy and she could always pull off, so I think she's good enough for Wonder Woman. Especially considering how the movie will probably turn out.

Eh, I don't expect the studios to really try to hard to make this movie a success. Come on--the concept: the adventures of a very attractive superheroine who comes from an island filled with hot lesbians and dresses in a cleavage-revealing little top and a pair of panties, and ties up the bad guys. To your average movie exec, nothing else needs to be done to make it a hit.

A) Superman 4 was great.

B) I've never seen Birds of Prey.

Superman III was the one with Pryor and Lois & Clark was a great show (the last season left a little to be desired, but it was still awesome)

Anyway, I'd mark out if Charisma was in Wonder Woman. I'm going to see any superhero movie anyway, so it would be a nice bonus to see an actress I like from another show play the lead. Plus she's really hot
