Ace309 0 Report post Posted February 7, 2004 I was at a beer tasting last night. Unibroue, a Québec microbrew, had a rep here at one of the local liquor stores. They offered four beers- Maudite, La Fin du Monde, Trois Pistoles and Quelque'Chose. The first three were by all accounts good, but fairly unremarkable. Between 8% and 9% abv, they were unanimously attempting to be spicy, but for beers marketed as "strong" and "dark," they weren't very much of either. Quelque'Chose was something different entirely, though. It was a cherry ale, and apparently it's often served room temperature (like all good fruit beers should be) or warm (160F/70Cish) in ski lodges. I picked up a bottle, and it's absolutely incredible. Anyone else tried Quelque'Chose? I'm also interested in their Ephemere, which is a fruit beer brewed with a different fruit each season - apple, peach, apricot and currant. http://www.unibroue.com/english.cfm
